    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Im looking for Radiator guards and an aluminum skid plate for my te449. Anybody have an info on availability stateside? I may have a line on the Mecasystems parts, but I know they'll be very expensive.
 
We will have a TE 449 in here in about 2 weeks and radiator guards are the first to do item on the list. I can't give any certain due date when they will be available for sale, but they will be the main focus and should get done rather quickly. They will be of a similar design to our existing radiator braces with removable front guard. Probably going to be closer to the KTM design than the current Husky design.

Enduro Engineering will have braces and a skid plate available in a couple of weeks. They are using my bike for the mock up.
 
We are working on it to and some other goodies we have found it needs after 700 miles of thrashing.

I just joined the forum and after picking up my ex demo 449 Saturday, and catching and puncturing the clutch casing on a rock yesterday I bought a guard today off MOTECT3 <info@motect3.co.uk>

pretty gutted I didn't do that first off. You can get rad braces too off this firm.

The exchange rate and distance is a bit much if I buy from the UK. Are there any local fab shops with these on the market yet?

We just go a TE 449 in here on Monday. Rad braces are the first on the to do list, but I have no date yet for when they will be ready.
