• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

:banghead: was spose to leave for odessa today .looks like milligan for the weekend instead due to stupid work accedent involving a sazall:doh:how do you like the new graphics? photo.JPG

Too much red****************************************!!! just kidding. needs some swingarm graphics.

Looks great besides those Cycra handguards they just don't fit with the rest of the picture.
The shape and color aren't appropriate for a husky.

I like your bike, but do not like the red on the handguards or the brand (cycra) at least for tight woods (they suck.) But dig the white plastic. Throw those handguards out!!! I had 2 identical bikes with the same bars but one had Cycras and the other EE guards. 2 rides switching bikes and a number of crashes and hits and I realized the bend (sure they clear everything with ease) of the Cycras make them JUNK for true singletrack!!! Hope ya get better quick. As Iv'e told my son ALL power tools do not care who you are if handled improperly, or after youve used them for so long, you may take it for granted, it will get you!!

ALL RIGHT ALL RIGHT,ill get some new handgards...i think your both right although havent had bad luck on true single track ,i just never really liked them, thay were freebees from the dealer, its all i could haggle out of them so iv been sentamental twards them..

We sympathize only in bike related accidents:) If you can pull the clutch & brake lever you will be alright. Unless you dropped the sawsall & cut your foot off then there are appendage extensions that will work but that's another story. :D

Damn- what am I to think about my bike with scarred and dirt stained white plastic, cycras, IMS w/o shroud, torn scraped off side plate graphics, worn to aluminum side covers, scratched/gouged swing arm, scratched/dented exhaust, torn seat cover...etc OUT OF ALL THAT- I have some red anodized parts popping out... funny:cool:
...This spring I was actually going to try shrouds on the IMS and shroud graphics but whats the point:banghead: ....:D

I like your white shrouds/graphics.... whoops sorry...:oldman: that stock rear sprocket is crap it will loose teeth suddenly after 500 miles and just have nubs, the stock chain guide sucks too!

Seriously sorry about loosing your ride, get well man- I too am out for about a month and a half

Will white Plastidip work?
Maybe a cheaper temporery route...just a thought....

The Cycras are better than the stock brush guards, but I'm with you all on this one. This is the first bike I've tried them on, and last, they fit great and don't look bad IMO but they sure as hell don't stop the smaller branches from whipping the s**t out of yur fingers in tight single track . I found out the 1st time I took a trip down some good single track . yeow

Nothing wrong with Cycra IMHO and a LOT of racers use them. had several sets, no issues. Like the inner triple clamp mount with them.

I like my Cycra CRMs - just know some feel much more strongly one way or the other. A buddy had a set of asterisks that used real soft metal and could be bent very easily- a joke- I am sure they've changed since and are many times better- but would never buy them... one bad experience can define sometimes.
