SAM511
Husqvarna
AA Class
I though everybody should be aware of an interesting bit of info from Husqvarna Australia that I recently received. I enquired as to the purpose of the large brass screw on the EFI body, what it does, and what is the default setting if any.
Their reply explains what everybody has been commenting on with the new bikes where the motor "hangs" a little when you chop the throttle. I do not mind this trait but it sounds like that it can be softened to some degree so as to simulate a more traditional stronger engine braking feel.
It is worth the time to check.
I’ve contacted our Service department. Please find the answer below.
“2 ¼ turns out for a 511 +- 1/8th of a turn should put the minimum air bypass back in range, it is the only screw on the throttle body that should, or can, be touched without major drama, nothing else.
If the screw is too far out it will push you into a corner like having the throttle open a bit.”
If you have further enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact me.
