    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

I am very satisfied with my SM630, but there is one thing i wonder what did Husqvarna think when they placed the horn button in the middle of the switch box!!??
On all 10 bikes i have owned before, the horn button is placed at the bottom of she switch box. Well placed underneath the blink switch.
Can't tell how many times i have let the horn blow into junctions instead of putting the blinkers on.

I also think the horn button too much exposed and too easy to engage :banghead:

Is it like this on the 610 also? If not, do anyone know if the switch box fits on a 630?
 
Sorry, my horn is broken so you'll have to watch for my finger... LOL

My 610's horn is in the proper place at the bottom of the switch box... How are the BMW motorcycle switches? Similar to the 630's?
 
I got knocked off the other day by some jerk in a 2 ton truck reversing into me. It happened so fast there was little time to think. The loudest thing on the bike is the exhaust and that was to hand immediately so I revved it and he stopped just on impact. Still gutted though as ended up on the tarmac.. The horn button on all my old Jap bikes and more recent sportsbikes is as you say. Almost your thumb could hover over it. The Husky is a conscious movement to push. This is how the indicators should be. The horn is an emergency bit of kit you just want to jab on instinct. I never even considered the Husky placement until the other day. Very good point sir.
 
Had bike almost a year and still not used to horn location. You can always put a generic or japanese switch on there.
 
Hmm. Better get down to my local Hysky dealer that also break down bikes and sell parts. Maybee i can find some nice looking jap switch boxes

Wow! I've had this complaint since day 1!!! My horn actually came loose and fell off so I don't have that problem any more. That same person must have installed my rear sprocket because it was loose too but I cought it before anything bad happened. I thought QC got better with BMW?
