• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

This is the thinning of the heard I don’t like!

This is one of the cases I wish was not true. These people are great down to earth and not the squids I would like to see thinning.
I just picked up this guys/gals TE250 and this 510 is a great bike and great price. I would have picked up both and resold the 510 if I had the squish. You can not go wrong with a bike this well maintained and little miles. He needs to sell, so the bike is WAY under market value IMHO. Good Christian honest people that have to get rid of toys and stuff do to the economy. I rolled the 250 away yesterday and his wife had gator tears in her eyes because she loved her bike and riding. I called George before I left and asked what to look for, he said at that price get them both, nothing wrong or to look for on those bikes, I wish I could have helped these people out like that. If anyone would like to have it shipped and he/seller will not, I will help with that. I looked at this bike and it is a great deal. I can probably get a shipping box from George if needed.

the world really does require good ol Uncle Sam to fire up. The Europeans can't do it Australia is going gang busters but with 20 million folks (same size as the lower 48) we are a tiddler in the global scheme of things. Japan is a basket case. China and India are growing strong-they are so huge that they have enough internal drivers that they can really be isolationists and still grow, albeit from a low base.I hope Bernake and Obama et al can re-engineer the stimulus package.
