As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Sweet!, and although I remain super busy, I am doing well....Thanks Coffee. Hope you're doing well.
... I'm now on a 2012 Triumph Scrambler! Just picked it up 3 weeks ago...
Thanks Coffee. Hope you're doing well. The Harley is for sale... I know... you're putting your surprised face on!I just couldn't bond with the big 'ole behemoth. The wife liked riding on it, but we never seemed to ride enough to justify the cost of the bike. Soooooo, I'm now on a 2012 Triumph Scrambler! Just picked it up 3 weeks ago. I'm taking it to PA over Labor Day to see how it can handle the fire roads and rail beds. Surprisingly, the wife likes riding the Triumph too, so I had to go out and get her a sissy bar... so now my flat green Steve McQueen "Great Escape" bike looks like a bike Pee Wee Herman would ride!

Don't be a stranger, Kreig. Miss your sense of humor.
I'm liking it a lot. It's a bit on the heavy side... over 500 lbs wet, but it's well balanced with a low CG so it doesn't feel as heavy as it is.How are you liking the Scrambler? I love those especially in that color. If I were going street again I'd probably look for one of those
The new twins are smooth up to about 70 MPH, then they start to let you know there's something under you. I had a Tiger 800 XC for a while and that triple motor was the smoothest thing I've ever ridden. I was like riding a sewing machine. The Scrambler is not as smooth as the triples... but just to give you an idea... when my wife got on the Scram for the first time she asked "why doesn't this bike vibrate like the Harley?"Hi Krieg,
I have been eyeing the Triumph Scrambler or Bonneville. What are the vibrations like? I heard the older Triumphs really vibrated a lot due to the piston firing arrangement... not sure if the newer ones are the same. I would love to hear your ride impressions... both good and bad.
Thanks,
Matt
Hey Kreig, good to hear from you!
I am dealing with the trauma of Husqvarna being bought by KTM by starting a Beta dealership!
We have Dual Sports and Super Motards.....
I'm going to be in the Williamstown, Tower City, Pine Grove area. Near the Rausch Creek Trials. I'll be riding a network of fire roads on Peter's Mountain as well as some paved twisty mountain stuff.Where in PA will you be riding it?
Have you seen this vid? Johnny Lewis races flat track on a highly modified Scrambler. Got to check the bike out when it was on the lift at Solid Performance.
