  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

time to update 2011 te 250 or 2011 te 310

husky bom

Husqvarna
A Class
as some may know i have a 2010 te 250 that is the best husky i have ever owned.....the others i owned were good as well.......i have got my 250 going greate with gearing and a pcv adding a extra 3.2hp and 1.9ftlb torque so its running close to a stock 310 as is.... was thinking of updating to another 250 or a 310 i know that the 310 is the same bike with a extra 52cc but the 250 is $900.00 less than the 310 so what im asking is what would be the gain over the 250 is it worth the extra$$$$

thanks
HB

The 310 has a LOT more low down and mid range torque (I have one and have ridden both).Add a JD X6 tuner (or use the PCV) and tune it to perfection.
I would suggest riding one first before making a decision though, but for me (50 years old) the extra torque makes it easier to ride and you don't have to keep the revs up all the time and extensively use the clutch to keep it going?

I agree with Robert above . 310 has heaps more power low down and you dont have to keep it "on the pipe" so much of the time .
310 is virtually same weight so there are no disadvantages over 250 , for me go 310 every time .

Fire1998 , PCV is a Power Commander . Its an electronic "gadget" that allows some tuning of Fuel Injection (JD X6 is similar, but from different company).
My opinion is this is not needed , you can tune the existing FI system with IBeat (Husqvarna tuning / diagnostic software) and bike will run perfectly.
These aftermarket "Tuning Gadgets" seem to be popular in the US , but here in Europe you hardly ever see / hear about them .
