    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Hello everyone
I am having an issue when I pull up at the lights and select 1st as I go to take off it jumps into nutral
I can be around this by leaving my foot on the gear lever as I take off
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and if there is a fix ?

Yes I had this issue and it probably started around the similar number of kms to yours and then after a while the issue pretty much disappeared. It occasionally still occurs. I looked into it at the time and it turns out to be a common quirk of the Rotax 650 and it does not generally indicate a fault. Most likely the issue will go away the more you ride.
 
My Terra (27000km on the clock) has a different gearbox quirk which has developed since about 25000km. I can be stopped in neutral and pull the clutch and step it into 1st gear, and it will make a very positive clunk that sounds like 1st gear selection but the neutral light stays on and the bike is not in gear. Sometimes I can do this 2 or 3 times consecutively before it actually shifts into 1st gear and the neutral light stays off. I think actually releasing and reengaging the clutch lever stops this from occurring. I am developing a habit of standing on the gear lever in 1st gear when I take off from the standing start, just in case it wants to pop out.
 
Where the gear engagement seems sticky it may be worth checking the neutral switch, they can bend and at least early ones could break up resulting in a need to split the cases to repair, a quick check it is OK is better than the alternative
