  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TTO PPR setting 14 310R

2wheeler

Husqvarna
AA Class
So I have the Tach/Hour Meter connected directly to the wiring harness plug which connects to the coil. (not my pic)

The units default setting is 1.0. Interweb says 1.0 and 0.5. One manufacturer states 0.5 for most efi engines. Factory idle is stated as 1950 rpm.

Started the bike and let it idle.

At PPR-1 tach reads around 920 with max rpm of 1200

At PPR-0.5 tach reads around 1860 with max rpm of 1860.

It would appear 0.5 is the correct setting. Whatya think?

I've got one on mine, but not home for another week.
If no replies, I'll check and get back to you

Sorry Mate - forgot all about this!

Checked mine and its set at 0.5
Idle speed is set at a tad over 2000.

Think mine is an earlier version to the new model TTO - I had to look at the instructions to remember where the buttons were, and they are quite different to mine.
I don't have a clock setting, but I do seem to have a sensitivity(?) setting and a refresh rate setting - set at Hi and Fast if yours is similar.

It's a good little tool - shame Husky couldn't have integrated into the dash!
Only downside is relating the miles covered to the time running - it highlights just how slow I ride :-)

Mike

No worries! Thanks for checking! Left mine on 0.5. No sensitivity or refresh rate here

Yes, too bad Husky shipped the bikes without the hour meter working. And for me not installing one when the bike was new.

Haha! I can relate to slow! Had this bike for a little over 2 years with 650 miles on it now
