• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Whats the collective thought on the value of a good 510 twinshocker....its a question that has come up at times....would like everyone's input

considering their performance and how often they grenade without proper maintenance, id put them a lil over any of the 2 strokes..however pricing huskies is pretty tough, you know? a twinshocker has value as a racebike for stricter classes too.

I would say for a decent, complete 83 or 84 510,restorable,$3500.00 US,maybe add if its an 83,add if its a 500TC.Considering what just the core engine parts{if you can even find them} sell for nowadays:$300-$400 for a cylinder,$700-$1200 for the cylinder head and related parts, based on ebay auctions over the last few years.I sold mine because all it would take is a broken valve or valve spring,to turn $1,500+ into scrap. One of the most innovative engines probably ever put in a motorcycle, but they didnt make enough of them to be homologated,2000 units total is what ive been told.

Problem to find one swedish girl with big tits ?

What I see is making something that appears like a twin shock four stroke of 1983 vingage. What I see is taking a two stroke frame and modifying it, Making a cylinder from scratch as well as what I think is the airbox. The lower end is an 87-88 most likely. Just a warning when you start paying big money for old stuff often what is offered isn't what it appears. I skipped around a bit and didn't watch all 20 minutes.

Slowly!!, engine has been bead blasted casings stove enamelled cylinder rebored head has has new guides, seats, stainless valves & springs new bearings seals & stainless bolts throughout & re assembled, frame has bean blasted & powder coated silver & that is as far as ive got:( lack of time & motivation but I will get there:)

Start with a 86 motor , like I did, they (Husky) fixed the valve, ignition problems by then & it's air cooled still.
