  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Seems more and more Companies will not insure TE449, people tell me who you insure your TE449 for road use in the UK?

Thanks

Im with bennets and theyre spot on mines not 449 tho its a wr360 but i recommend them, swinton are rip off merchants and h n r were ok but Bennets is who ive been with for 4years now.

Thanks for reply, it is Bennets that are now refusing to insure, (have it insured with them now for last yr) have spoke to them they are coming back to me on Monday or Tuesday, I have a multi bike policy with them, but not looking good for the Husky :( it was Esure (think it was Esure) that refused after one year of insurance last yr

strange mines £86 a year fully comp, could just be chimps operating computers speak to someone on the phone usually reaps more result.
you dont want to be taking your multi policy else where but they respond to the threat of moving your business from them.

good luck with the hunt its a pain in the A.

I've just had my renewal through from bikesure.

Last year I tried to put it on my ebike policy, but they weren't for having it, so a seperate policy needed. If I sell one of my other bikes that is on my ebike policy before renewal time, will try again just to see.

Benetts are offering me insurance now, but I split multi bike policy, also with multi never knew you only get NCD on the policy not on the bikes, so 2 bikes one NCD, not good :(
