• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Vintage 4-Race Mini Series in Oklahoma

Phoenix

Husqvarna
AA Class
Hello all. I just wanted to pass on some information about a vintage mini-series that we will be holding with Oklahoma Cross Country Racing Association. The series will be a points-earning series with season awards held at rounds 9 - 12 of the 2013 season. The first race is August 31 - September 1 at Reynard Raceway in Wellston, OK (about 20 minutes NE of Oklahoma City). We are hoping that with some interest in this mini-series, we can add vintage hare-scramble racing to our circuit as a permanent race for the 2014 season. You can view information about the mini-series on our homepage. If a question is not covered by this page, then it will be covered by general OCCRA rules (e.g. points, track markings, etc.). Feel free to send questions my way if you have any as well.

I hope to see some of you out at the races. We have a great family-oriented circuit with free camping and a low $5/carload gate fee. We have classes for everyone from mini mini bikes and quads to pro bikes and quads...and now vintage so you can have a weekend full of fun.

Just a little update. After some feedback, and to help this get off the ground, we have added a "Pre-Modern" class for bikes of years 1985-1995.

Another update after our first race...

We are moving this race to Saturday so that racers can race the vintage race after our last quad race and the motorcycle long course with an overnight break. The next race is at Cross Bar Ranch in Davis, OK.
