  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Wanted, headlamp and tail lamp for late 70's 360/390

I'm looking for a headlamp and tail lamp for my 360 auto, I believe the same unit was used from 76-82?
Does that sound correct?
Does anyone have one left over from a build or a bike long sold?
I don't want to put a Preston Petty on it if I don't have to...
Tony.

Sorry Claude, I thought you meant it was for sale, looks like the correct part, I just need to find one like this for sale!
Thank you for showing an example.
Tony.

For the tail light there are two ways to go, but it depends on which rear fender you are using - both tail lights are readily available new - eBay, Amazon, etc.

If you have the WR rear fender the tail light is an Italian made CEV 9241 (parts manual pic #24) used on many Euro bikes of the time. Repros (very good ones) are available. Be sure to get the angled back version. They come with either a plastic or metal housing. I believe the OEM HVA was plastic.

If you have the regular rear fender, the popular modification in the 70's was using the Preston Petty tail light lens (only) from their IT rear fender. I believe this is what the ISDT bikes did.

That's great info vinskord, thank you for your informative answer, I had seen the two types and wasn't sure if it was the straight or angled variety which would fit my reproduction rear WR rear fender. I'll order a new angled tail lamp.

Tony,
I have a complete headlight assy as pictured above also new taillight too. PM me if you want.

Marty
