• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Well then. What's your big block Husq veighin' in at?

Not sure what inspired it, but I just put the SM on the Health-O-Meter digital scale and I'm stoked to report that she's WAY lighter than I had been giving her credit for! 156 lbs on the rear tire, and 152 lbs on the front (44 miles gone from a full tank) makes her a svelte 308 lbs wet, give or take. :applause: That's real world numbers, ready to ride, and not too shabby. So... what's yours weigh?

It's easy to find an old bath scale that is off by ten pounds, do us a favor and use something semi-accurate, please.

My Six is likely to be lighter than yours, so don't get too pissed when you weigh yours, yeah? I'm betting that I have one of the lightest 610s around. :busted:

Well, you sure got this guy beat by a mile...

OK, I'll bite...why are you willing to bet your bike is the lightest one around?

Ahhhh, that bet has been retracted. Maybe it isn't the lightest around.

Mine is missing the fan, the horn, inner tubes, has several pounds of excess wiring removed, no kickstand, 3 turn signals, one CRG miror, and a featherweight exhaust system. Not to mention evenly balding street tires. Anyways, I was thinking it should be one of the lighter sleds around, but if that pic represents the weight of another 610, then I do believe the dood that posted it is telling the truth.

Arrrghhh... I knew I should have bet you some big bucks!

Hmm......balding tires to save weight...that's brilliant! Not only does it save weight but it saves money, too

I can guarantee you your bike weighs much less than mine. I've got heavy-duty tubes in both tires, a ProMotoBillet rack on the back (I gotta put my purse somewhere on my way to work :D) an Uptite skidplate, handguards, stock can (which needs to be replaced ASAP) and so far I've still got all my turn signals. I do only have one mirror on there at the moment, though, so I am well on my way to 610 svelteness

And yeah, that photo was from some guy on SMJ.

Mine weighed in at about 308 semi dry (all fluids but no gas) when it was new. I stripped a few things off and added some other things to it. Maybe it's time to put it on the shipping scale at work.

It might not be the lightest nor the most functional :D .

My bikes weights about 275.5 lbs (I'm note sure of conversion kg-lbs, however 125kg), but is for track only.
