• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

well some news some good and some bad but not out

Well two weeks ago my husky wr 250 was stolen it had taken me 4years to get it how i wanted it.
the only changes from my avatar picture is the wheels was rebuilt with black rims and stainless spokes. Im really gutted has we all know how much time and effort goes into our bikes. I want to get another husky but im not sure which way to go now either a wr 400 or a late model wr 300 or i could go to a husky four stroke or give up all together. Any ideas or thoughts i just feel really down about this.

I know the feeling as I once had a lightweight Land Rover that I´d converted to Perkins diesel. The b*stards only took it for the diesel engine and aluminium scrap. I´d gladly still kill them, even though it happened many years back. Best not to give up; I quite like the Husky 449.

i feel your pain, you've been violated... should you go looking for a new ride, you might want to look at that 300 2T. it's sweet

Thieves suck and I hope they die a painful death.

As for which bike.....I vote WR300****************************************!

Cheers guys i think what ill do now is give it a few months while im away with work. And ill start looking around nearer the time, but im starting to think that i might go vintage, but that may change if i come across a wr 300 at a good price. also part the pleasure of riding is working on the bike which i seem to get more of kick out of these days.

Too bad on your bike ... I'm a very big non-fan of thieves and dishonesty among people ...

Vintage riding is good and Husky has some good bikes for this ... Suspension is very limited there though and air-time will be limited ... I did take my 79 CR250 on some ST a few times ..It was planted on the trails and held its line better than my 02 CR250 ...

Dont give up the search. Ive had two bikes stolen and recovered both. One eleven years after it was stole. It never left my mind. And every bike like it i would study. Until I found both and still have one of them. My motovilla 50! Ill take it to the grave with me.
The other a RMX250. Found it with the thief who stole it broke down on local trail and told him i could fix it. It had a gash in the tank from a crash" birthmark" when back to the truck me and my friends took it back. He didnt resist and we were reunited. Fixed and sold out it..

Thats good news your bikes back, just at the moment in the uk it seems theres dirt bikes being stolen all the time if you take a look at www.mxtrax.co.uk
and check out the stolen bike page just from the last few weeks. The scum bags that get caught doing this should have there right hand removed like they do in middle eastern countries, and then everyone will know what they have done. rant over and breath.

Hey you on a budget?? Forget the WR 300 and grab a used 125/144 your friends will be annoyed when your behind them and pissed when you pass them!!! And 8 year old can start it and a 6 year old can pull the clutch lever and a healthy 16 year old could do a Scott Summers pose with it! Sorry bout your loss. Iv'e had tools stolen before and WOW does it feel bad. Good thing about a Husky is the moran will need parts sooner or later and if you have any local Husky dealers let them know. Years ago that is how a guy got his Husky back in Minnesota.
