• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I'm heading to Belle, WV for work this weekend (for 6-8 wks). Wondering if anyone has or knows of place to stay in that area. Much appreciated.

Thorton98, I am working on a pipeline job and our warehouse is in Belle, WV. The guys that are staying in campers, myself included, are scattered all over the area but the ones in motels are staying just up the road in Charleston. Plenty of places to stay there. If I can be of assistance let me know.

Thanks for the info. The job was @ Dow Chemical. As of right now, the job is on hold according to our BA's. I was invited to attend a Car-Ber Testing course, so I jumped into that this week. Hopefully, this will payoff in Oct. for a Marathon turnaround in Detroit. I was on Craigslist looking for homes to rent in WV, as there will probably be about ten of us traveling.

Got called today for next week show up. Will probably be there sometime Mon. I'm planning on bringing my 610 for possible Sun rides (assuming we're working 6-10's like they say). As of right now, I'll get a hotel room for a few nights until hopefully finding a house (room) to rent.
Talk to ya

For my money, the best lodging West Virginia has to offer is in luxury cabins. They combine the gorgeous, natural charm of the West Virginia wilderness with spacious rooms and tons of amenities. I had a great time last summer near the North Fork region.http://wvlogcabins.com/rates/
