• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

What 1970 360c would you build mh or si ( need advice)

Well this is my first post, but not my first husky. I have a 1970 360c enduro with the gigantic red tank the frame is a mh4975 when I bought the bike it came with a rolling chassis fram si 1166(street legal)(bolt to-gather). From what i have researched, the motor could have originally been in either bike.

My ? Is which bike is more desirable the enduro racer or the street legal sportsman style frame?

The mh has been sanded and painted. The si is in original condition, slight rust here and there, but very solid.

I had a 1969 360 Sportsman bolt together when I was 14 in 1974. I was impressed with the handling as it was somewhat friendly at lower woods speed and supported you when you rode more agressively. The MH frame would have been shared with the CR series and not sure if they had WR before 1972 when the 5 speed came out. As far as desirable the choice is really your own preference. I personally would go with the MH frame but you would not be giving anything up with the SI

I personally like riding the mh frame too, just wondering if a 1970 bolt to gather was more collectible. I don't have a title but I like the idea of riding on the street with a 1970 husky.

I would think the 360 came from the Sportsman frame as in 1970 Husqvarna had the 400 Cross for motocross and had no reason for a 360 Cross model. Most off road back then was done on modded motocross models. The Sportsman was a street legal dual purpose model.

$1300 on eBay . I realized that I don't have the time to ride so I surely don't have time to vintage race.

I do not have time to ride and would probably hurt too much but I can not seem to get the need to bring back the dead and near-dead out of my system. I get too much satisfaction out of defying those who say"You will never get this to run or..."

Well its done and it rips! Pulls the wheel in all gears at almost any speed you want. Handles great, new tires and cosmetic touch ups coming this week then some pics. What were the air valves on top of the forks for? And what pressure would one put in them? Thanks for the easy transaction.
