Hi all,
Long time bike addict, possible future husky owner. My uncle in California has had 2 huskys for the past 20-25 years. I rode one when I was 12, almost crashed but survived. As I've been collecting, I thought about the old huskys. I even dug up a few pictures from around 2000. One is an 83' 250? Although I could have sworn it was a 430...there was a reason I didn't get to take it out of first gear. The second is a 86'? 500 xc...but I've never been able to find another mono shock husky that was air cooled. What wondering what the thoughts on these particular bikes are. The 83' might make me a good vintage racer, and the 500 for kicks. Price is $1500 apiece, plus shipping across the country.
More or less want them for nostalgic reasons. Does the price seems fair? Parts hard to find? I have other big bore bikes so these won't be main rider's.
