  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

What Handguards And Radiator Guards For 2010 Te250 ?

rabskyline

Husqvarna
AA Class
I need to score these before I start breaking fingers and bike parts. I got a set of handguards from a friend (new) but couldnt get them to fit for the life of me.
They weren't the wrap around type, just the mx type.
I wouldn't mind a type that had in built mirrors or indicators etc as long as there tough as nails as i fall quite a bit when the bag of talent isn't as full as I hoped it would be :D but not too fussed and would fit anything strong that protects levers/fingers etc.
same goes with rad guards, ease of fitting and strength is the things I am after.

I take it the stock bash plate is quite good ? It seems ok ?

I know you're in Oz so shipping costs may be prohibitive but I've had VERY good luck crashing my 250 with these components installed for protection:

As solid as you can get plus integrated mirrors are an option- http://www.highwaydirtbikes.com/HDB_Shop/index.php?app=ccp0&ns=catshow&ref=handguards

The pics are of my bike with the 1st production plate shipped! It's since held up quite well to lots of rock/root abuse. http://www.motosportz.com/HVA-SS/2010_skidplates_details.htm

Also the motosportz front disc guard has taken a damn good amount of beating and protected the rotor completely in some pretty rough rock gardens.

Rear brake guard w/replaceable fin- https://www.enduroeng.com/ProductDetail.jsp?LISTID=80000A03-1242750434

I tend to crash a lot myself due to operator error. The above items have saved me a lot of money and maintenance!

For hand guards these are great. Why would you want mirrors & Blinkers?

Force Rad guards

Bash plate is plastic & rubbish.Go a B&B or something similiar

Blinkers and mirrors as the Aussie cops can be real anal twats with this stuff when up the beach and transport areas between tracks.
Not looking for those massive truck mirrors but integral small ones or those rubbery folding ones.

On my phone now but will check links. Thanks !
