    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

125-200cc What Powernow part number for '08 CR125???

Anyone know the part number for Scaryfast's Powernow for the 2008 CR125? I've gotten two from Scaryfast directly, but each has had fitment problems. The first one was all wrong, with air passage cutouts in the wrong places, and the plate was a good 1/4" too long, hitting the slide long before it was fully seated. I don't remember the part number for that first one.

The second one, PN38TMX/D lists fitments for all the big four 125s on the label, but not the husky specifically. Sure enough, the plate contacts the slide before it is fully seated, but at least the cutouts for air passages seem correct.

Anyone know? I'd rather get the info directly from someone who has one working on their bike, as I'm starting to lose faith in Scaryfast's ability to understand exactly what bike I'm riding.

I'm half inclined to just grind the extra off divider plate...

I don't know the part number, but the Power Now application for the '03 Honda CR250 is the one that fit my '02 WR125 which had the same TMX as your '08 CR125.
 
Norman Foley to the rescue again!

The version in my hands says it fits the '04-'07 Honda CR250. Hopefully, the version that fits the '03s works. Thanks, man!
 
Hey what is it and what will it do for the 125? I should be picking mine up thursday so I need to start the mods....I can't leave anything stock LOL.

Ya I got one but since my 125 is a bit lazy right now waiting for a new P/V, it's hard to tell ya how good it works.

Norm runs one and swears by it.:thumbsup:

A buddy of mine has it on his WR250 and swear by it.:thumbsup:

Well now that was quite sneeky I thought my laser eye surgery was letting me down. I will look into the product a little deeper.

HuskyDude, yours is an '09 application right? If so, have you tried fitting it yet? Just wondering since I'm considering the "plus" model for our '09 CR.

Has anyone had to mess with jetting after installing these?

Yes it's on a 09 WR 125 and I only have the "Power Now" on not the Plus. I can't comment on the performance of this yet...I sure it will help.

Still waiting for my New P/V from Husky.

Someone let me know when you try this I will be modding my 08 CR125 as soon as the parts come out. I can't leave anything stock. Thanks, John
 
I've been running Power Now for 3+ years on two Husky WR125's ('02 and '09) and it's a worthwhile mod, especially for tight woods riding.
 
Norman I have the 08 CR 125. How and where will I feel the difference? I play ride and play MX no tight woods riding to speak of. Also where did you get yours? I think I might want the Power Now Plus what do you think? Thanks John.
 
I smooths out the transistions between low-mid-top and I don't seem to have the carburation issues that make guys want to replace the Mikuni TMX with the Keihin PWK. For a MX guy running more open throttle all the time, it might not be as much of a difference. For a woods guy in tight and technical, you want smooth power as those cool "hits" can put you in a tree.

Took it out on the weekend a noticed a big difference in the tight S/T stuff.

Had to try it out to make sure when installed it really worked...and it does.:D

be nice if the folks at scary fast could get their part numbers right. went to put mine in and it says pn39pwk .... guess this one is going back ...

So are you running the stock carb? what was the difference you noticed?
