• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

What will the new bike be?

Husqvarna
Pro Class
There has been much speculation and "I heard" regaurding the sale of Husqvarna, but there is one thing that has been said and that is there will be a new bike presented at the november relaunch.
Could it be the new 250-300 2 stroke they supposedly have been working on, or will it be a quickly hashed out KTM with red and white plastic?
I'm going with it being the new 2 stroke, there have been quite a few reports that it was coming already, due this summer.
I believe it will take longer to get into the "common platform" bikes.

I'll have to go with the Rumored 450 xlite.

An associate of mine was at the Rotax plant in Austria about 6 months ago and he said there was a Husqvarna dirtbike there (he was there regarding aircraft powerplants) so maybe a etec-like DI 2stroke is nearby?

KTM 200 motor in a Husky 125/44 frame is a wish....
But I think it will be slanted more to the mx side, new TC 450 is my guess.

The first new bike in the queue is, an all new TE/TXC 250/310. It will have a new frame, plastic and bottom end mated to the Red Head. 450 based on this, was to come in '15. WR250/300 was said to be a possible early release '15.
This was from a Husky NA employee, but with the new owner.... Who knows what will happen?

I visited Bobby at BMW/ Husky of Atlanta saturday and he says it is a 450 X-Lite that will be unveiled in november. He says many conflicting stories on the future of Husky though, so nothing concrete.
I was under the impression a new 250/300 2t was next, nothing will surprise me at this point
