  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I have a 2013 TE449 300 miles..FMF pipe ,Map 3 perfect condition ...i might be selling due to lack of time to ride ,hence only 300 miles in 2 years, NADA and KBB go anywhere from $4900 to $6000. Anybody sell one recently or see one sell... Im in NJ

I just bought a 2014 TE511 with 86 miles. Has a FMF pipe, acerbis hand guards, ZipTy gas cap and map 3 flashed ecu.

Paid $5k

I'd probably ask $5,900 and see if you get any calls. The up side is a new bike that is comparable like the 501 or 500EXC or beta is going to be $10k so that makes yours at 50-60% of the price a good value.

Thats kind of what i was thinking , with the prices of the new ones, plus all the little tinkering to get them the way they are supposed to run ...

There's the other end of the spectrum. A guy out here built a 511 with a bunch of stuff thinking be was gonna get $10k for it. I think it's been CL for about 6 months. It's dropped to $9k. and for some reason it hasn't sold...

If it runs good just keep it.

Selling a bike is a PITA and I guess that is why I own about 9 or them.

I won't sell a bike that is not right so they all run great and they are not worth anything!

The good news is that I only paid $5200 for my TE310 new. The bad news is that I don't think I could get more than $3,000 for it. The good news is that a dirt bike only depreciating +$2K in 3 years is amazing! I feel even worse for those guys with the KTM's who have +$5K in depreciation in the same time period. The bad news is I am gonna be stuck with this thing forever because it won't be worth anything when it's time to move on in a couple years. Lets hope we can get parts for a very long time!
