  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

What's up with the 09 sticker

Stomper51

C Class
Does any buddy know if Husky is doing anything with the Graphics sticker that want to peel off the plastic shouds around the tank and side covers on the 2009 models. I have had this 09 TE510 for 6 weeks and they drive me nuts. Doesn't look good on Husky's part when people are interested in the bike and the graphics are peeling off. If the bike is fairly new you would think that they would replace the sticker with the newer 2010 stuff.

I agree I bought a 2009 tc 510 three months ago and have the same problem. I am going to buy the new 2010 front left and right plastics that come painted and possibly air brush the tc 510 logo on the the back plastics since they do not make those already painted. The sticker decals should be a recall and husky should replace them with the painted ones.

What price did you guys pay for 2 year old bikes ? You know the 2011s are already selling. Husky probably will not warranty stickers that have been sitting in the warehouse for 2 years. Your dealer could have put the new shrouds on the bike on the showroom floor but that would have raised the price and most dealers want to have a low competitive price or the consumer just goes to the other guy because it is cheaper. Unfortunately most people just look at price, not what you actually get!

09 stickers are the worst - anyone know what to use to stick em back down ?

I used a thin film of clear silicone sealant. Applying pressure over the edges to hold them down until the silicone has cured. Holds them securely so they can be removed if needed later without damaging the plastics.

The Husky importer in Australia has a fix for this. I think Brown's Graphix may have made up a big batch of new stickers out of a different material. I brought my 09 300 and he stickers were actually falling of it in the showroom. Dealer put on the new ones and they are sticking like sh!t to a blanket

yeah those new stickers are way better i was looking into replacing the whole stiker kit with an aftermarket one went back into shop they gave me brand new aftermarket sticker kit identical to standard one under warrenty

You are right. I myself have taken a Husky out of the crate and the decals were peeling. Whoever they hired to do there decals did a POOR job. Good luck getting the dealer to warrenty that. I would see if your dealer was willing to sell you the 2010 plastic with the impregnated graphics for cost. I am sure he understands. This decal thing has been going on for awhile and I am glad they updatede for 2010.

yeah paid around 4500.00 for my tc 510. They told me all the 09 bikes had an issue with the graphics but for the price I paid they couldnt put the new ones on.Really not to big of a deal since the new plastics are like 70.00 a pair.

i cant glue mine back...

they are all fell off somewhere on the highway long time ago...totally sucks..

My model stickers fell off the side plates almost right away. No biggy, it's a woods bike & woods bikes only look new for the first ride or two anyways......

stickers

Yea,my 09 250TXC sat in shed for 3 weeks and they had just about fallen off.I went to Toy Tech on sat and got 2010 tank cover plastics. Looks a lot better now.

I have always like and wanted Husky's and I still have a 85 XC 500 leaning in my yard, But the point is having the stickers peel off is your bike with out your help and it doesn't matter if I just bought a 2009 TE510 and the 2011 are now selling, It is crappy workmenship. I think the Swedish would have done a better job.
