• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Where to post to get help.

Ive looked everywhere. (obviously not). Im actually new to Huskys, Ive built numerous bikes all over, just never a euro bike like husky, (its always been my favorite, just never could get my hands on one). I now have a 2009 Husky SM450r. Ive seen alot of wrench heads get super pissed cause you post int he wrong forum(cause thats a curse on life, you need to die if you do that right?), search button isnt used, etc, I see lots of different categorys on this site but not a I geuss "problem" category... Is this the right site to post? or is there another one I gotta go to to find help and tackle some problems?

The moderators could answer this better but most sections are a "I got a problem" section. Place your question appropriate to your type of issue/bike. Ie. If you have a fuel injection problem post it in "efi/carb", if you've got a valve problem post it in "4 stroke". If you want to want to complain about your neighbour or "dem darn tree huggin hippies" put that in "general main".

Haha!! No, actually that would go in the Diner since it doesn't have anything to do with motorcycles

Welcome to CafeHusky, StrikerJo
We're pretty laid back here, nobody's going to get yelled at for posting something in the not-most-ideal place for it.
I think maybe a good place to start would be the 4-Stroke forum.
