• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

    Thanks for your patience and support!

    TE = 2st Enduro & TC = 2st Cross

TE/TC Which KTM is closes to the TE300

XC and XCW both have the same stator but XC doesnt come with all the stuff like wire harness and rectifier....

Basically a TE is a XCW in a XC frame....

Friends with XC's just bought headlight and taillight from EE and plugged them in, so I believe recent XC's have a harness. When KTM first took lights off US spec offroad bikes, XC-W had harness and XC didn't. EE sold 2 different light kits... XC-W just lights and XC had harness etc. At some point the XC got the harness too. It might have been about the time, they started putting lights back on US spec XC-W's and Husaberg TE's My '12 Husaberg TE came with no lights, but the harness and plugs were right there. I bought an EE kit and bingo.

IF THERES A BATTERY THEN THERES A CHARGING COIL ...RIGHT I DID A TTR125 LIKE THAT IT WORKED JUST FINE BUT I TOOK THE E-START OFF

Yes correct. But a charging coil isn't a lighting coil. One is DC through a rectifier, and the other is AC through a regulator.

This is a mess! The only way to find out whether a UK 2016 XC has a lighting coil is to take it apart and look. KTM dealer say's no, KTM parts finder says yes for UK, US & AU spec bikes. I'll report back soon!

Looking forward to your report!

Well, just checked over my mates XC300, and the base wiring is identical to the TE300 - So it has charging and lighting coils, a regulator / rectifier, 12V DC, and 12V AC circuits.

The 2 closest are totally different.... lol

300XC - Close ratio tranny, no lights (has capability)

300XCW- Wide Ratio, Lights, PDS
