• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Who's Doing the Meteor Dual Sport?

Husqvarna
A Class
Meteor AMA National Dual Sport this weekend down in Wading Pines Campground, Chatsworth NJ. Any takers for some sand, whoops and pines and cedars?

I'll be there with the TE. I have a prospective buyer for it who's going to check it out. Bringing the TM?

good to see the NE gathering guys getting together. I would head down but last 2 enduros for my series and am leading in points so....plus my better half tore her ACL and a DS without her would not be the same.

I would love to go,but my bike needs a little tlc after the rorr ride.

Yeah, RORR is tough on the machinery. My first RORR DS resulted in a bent rear sprocket, and three (!) flats. My first RORR enduro resulted in a bent rear disc.

Needless to say, I now run a disc guard and Tubliss.

I'll be there but not sure if I'm riding,as I Hyperextended my calf, gotta see how it feels on Sat.

Driving over Saturday morning,I hope it's not as dusty as it was last month over there.I'll be riding a TE510 09 with MFI graphics on the IMS tank.

Well! I think I have seen more sand in two days than I have in my whole riding career, give me rocks and dirt anytime. It was a fun time with perfect weather and I got to talk with some guy with an awesome looking helmet at the gas stop. Nice talking to you Dave.

It was nice talking to you, too, Bill. Yeah, I have to say the sand is an acquired taste, and even when you acquire the taste for it, it's still gritty!
