  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Will 07 TC Stuff fit an 09 SM?

I've been debating this for a LONG time and I think I am going to pull the trigger on some stuff I saw for sale and sell my YZ250f. One problem is I have an 09 SM and what I want to buy is 07 TC forks, wheels, front brake, and swing arm. I've heard the wheels from 08 and up are different, but if I am changing the forks and swing arm it shouldn't matter, right? Any thoughts on the way would be great. Thank you.

Not sure about the swingarm but the wheels and forks should match right up, Ive got an 09 and an 05 and the only difference I've noticed is the 05 rear brake rotor is smaller than 06 up. I've got 09 SM wheels on 07 TC forks on my 05 TE.

I don't think a MX 19" will fit in the smr swing arm due to being shorter than the standard MX one. Not for sure on that, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

It is definitely shorter. I have a 150/70 on the rear and it rubs the mud guard. I'm going to use the 19 on my other bike to mock it up incase the TC swingarm doesn't fit. Thanks for the insight. If anyone is interested in some 09 SM forks, triple's, front brake, wheels, and front fender let me know and maybe swingarm.

If you post that stuff up on SuperMotoJunkie in the classified ads it would sell I'm sure. They do have a charge for the ad.

Good luck

FYI the swing arm will not fit and a 19 will fit, you just have to move the wheel far back in the adjustment. I think I am going to keep the motard stuff for now. I don't think I can drive to work everyday and stay sane.
