• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Four of us went out to Johnson Valley to do some race training rides. One of my friends in the club is always our pit captain, works a check at our race etc. This year he got the itch to go racing.

So we picked a date for a hard target and got out there to jam around. His best bro came out on the big TC 510 and I selected the 449. Our former President brought out the Barstow to Vegas XR 650 water pumper beast sled. The mission focus was bushwackin'. We played follow the leader through the creosote and got good and loose. We rode part of the first loop we've scouted for this year's race as well. The sunset was gorgeous. For some reason the picture won't load. Will try later.

The sunset won't upload properly, but here is our camp. It was a solo run for me as my honey had to work, so the Econoline was my camper this weekend. Forgot how nice it is to roll old school. I sleep better in there than my fancy toy hauler.

She's a 70. Belonged to my Dad before he gave it to me. I've wanted to paint it for years, now I've been told several times it's perfect and clear over it. HA! I knew being lazy would pay off!

Yep, that's us - the same stuff you put on a hot dog, mustard and ketchup. I've been a member for 3 years now.

The Marine shared use area is a joke. They won't let us use it, even though King of the Hammers/Motos did get a special permit to use a part of it. The big issue is that they promised to relocate the desert tortoise out of the area before they can use it, but can't figure out how to do it. So they don't use it, we aren't allowed on it, and we've become convinced that the signs they have posted to keep people out sprout legs at night and move into the open area to make it hard for us to get race course laid out.

Love those weekends with the mates tear arsing around during the day and then murdering a few cold ones over a fire. Good show guys and thanks for sharing.
