• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Woodschick and Eric in Oregon

Its true, a live sighting of Eric and Woodschick out on a romp through Oregon...ostensibly to attend a wedding. She was on the TR650 and he on a 950? They were dusty tired and repeatedly lost, but still good company for a couple of hours.

They wandered out of the Cascades on Saturday afternoon; JonXX and I had dinner with them down the street from Bills in Salem and then they rode off towards greater McMinnville!

Any pictures that appear are obviously doctored - we are all much better looking than you imagine!

There is a chance Woodsy will make it back for the NW Gathering...if only to watch Walt lose his companions (again)

I heard a rumor she was going to write up a report...

Yep, Oregonsage, Mrs. Oregonsage, Woodsy and Eric and I had dinner in Salem, and a couple days later we reconnected on their "departure date" and I took them the fun way to Sisters, via the east side of the Coast Range skirting Corvallis, met up with a buddy of mine in Eugene, and headed over the Aufderheide and to Sisters via the Old McKenzie Hwy. At one point my buddy Tim pulled his Daytona 675 (which he rides very, very well) over and waved us by. He got on the com and told me "You guys are embarrassing me, every time I look back my mirrors are filled with your supermoto and their loaded Terra and loaded ADV bike. You lead!" Haha
