  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Front forks travell only 5 cm and then it bottoms out , what could be the problem? Maybe too much oil or something bent inside? I had the front wheel off and both of the forks have the same problem. Maybe bad service? Tried letting air out but didn't help. Should I disassemble it or leave to a mechanic in a shop?

the bike in the picture is a 99 not a 2000
you might try checking your oil level, did the problem just start or did you just buy it?

It started when I bought it. It says in the papers for the motorcycle that it's a 2000 but the plastics are a 99 yea.. (btw it's street legal)

tere was a comment on another thread from a member from down under that they did the 99-2000 thing there
where are you located?
back to your dilemma, the first thing I would do is to check the oil level in the forks, do you have an owners manual? the instructions are in there

I've got the repair manual. It is there. I am from Slovakia , bought the motorcycle as is , didn't change the plastics but I like more the 99 look. Thought about swapping the forks for some newer or different but never done it before so I don't which forks would fit the best , or what to modify.

Tried rebound adjustment , it works . Compression haven't tried for now but if it would be completely locked it woudn't move at all?

If they don't move then there's a good chance that's your problem and they are going to need to come apart.
