Pic 010 & 011 Just so you know, behind the scenes I have been working on my wheels, polishing the cylinder head and hubs. I thought you would like to see it after the clear coat, automotive finish dried. Just for fun, I stuck the center cases together, put the cylinder, head and ignition cover on just for a quick, looksee! PS: Walt, the cylinder does look good in black with red logo!

Pic 012 Now I thought that I would just set it in the frame to see how it will look? I think this bike is gonna look pretty sharp, when it's done. My son thinks it looks awesome![IMG]

Pic 002 & 003 One of our viewers (Bench Racer) talked me into doing the hubs and going with black rims. I went with a polished more brushed look. Also, I did the husky logo in red and the recessed spoke area in black. I used clear coat automotive paint to finish the hub, for easy cleaning and shine.

Those hubs look dope. That's what I should have done. And the black on the outer is a great idea. Very cool. The front wheel will look good since you took the lower brown stuff off. It should look pretty trick.

Thanx, Bench Racer! I tested the center area on the rear hub, polishing it smooth. I held it up against the swingarm and the shine wasn't identical. I then tested the front hub with the brushed look and thought it looked good. I then decided to clear coat the hub. I also shot the recessed area in red on the front hub and didn't like it. That's why I went the black route. By the way! I could not find a set of black rims. Hall's sold out of them. I talked to a guy up in Wisconsin, he has been anodizing and powder coating rims for 5 years. I shared my concern about the coating coming off. He assured me that the way he preps his rims, the powder coating will not chip off. Hey for $80 bucks, I'll try it!

    Thanx!

He's gonna have to because dad sold his RM to be used to build this one. Actually, it should stay pretty nice for a long time, unless tree slamming runs in the family.

Glad you guys like the little extra bling stuff. The cylinder is really easy to do and will last like that for quite some time, hopefully years. I am traveling but can post the materials that I used to paint it and will try to post them this weekend. If anyone wants to copy anything that I am doing, please feel free. If you need help doing something, feel free to PM me and I'll help any way I can.

    Thanx!
