Ok, so I got my little detail sander out and tried it between the spokes on couple spots on both front/rear rims. So, guess I will sit on a bucket for several hours and remove all anodizing off the rims/polish them. Then worry about the hubs next winter. At least my finger tips will sanded down and I can start crackin safes!

You are hard core! My son just came over and he's out in the garage polishing his 2011 TM frame. I showed him pics of your bike Friday night and I guess he caught the bug :D.

That's funny John! I would say those italian framed TM's will do up nicely. If I had one, that's the first thing I would tackle.

These jap bikes don't do very well, it's like they add pot metal to them. I will say the italians use some good stuff.

    So, once upon a time...

When I was a kid, I saw somebody had these little leather straps around their hubs on a pedal bike. Those hubs were shiny! If you want to make a half skilled approach at polishing your hubs to match, that might be the ticket? Just make a loop of leather amd tie the ends together so it's shaped like a teardrop. It might do the polishing for you.

Yeah I just checked in on his frame and it looks really good. He said it was really easy. Keeping it that way may be a bigger challange

    Custom GMX Graphics

All Husky Emblems On Cases, Forks, Hubs, Seat And Pipe Were Highlighted With Red Massey Ferguson Red Enamel. used The Same Enamel On Shock Spring. It Is Valspar, Tractor Restoration Series Paint. I Used Same On Gloss Black Frame. It Is Similar To The Old Acryilc Enamel. The Less Hardner Used In It, Makes The Paint More Flexible, But Takes Longer To Dry.

    TM Designs Red Chain Guide

Engine Was Dropped In Compression and Then I ported It, Kicker Was Moved Back One Tooth For Easier Starting, Stock Pipe Inlet Has Been Modified, I Modified The TMXX Carb Internally and Use A 5.0 Slide and A Custom Made Needle For Faster Tapers. LTR Rear Shock Mods and Rider's Edge Valves/Shim Mods in Front 45mm Zokes. I set the Suspension Up Using Dwight Rudder's Sag Settings. Bike Is Super Plush and Carves Like Butter. Clutch Arm Is Custom Made And I Use An MSR Raptor Lever. You can Pull The Clutch In All Day Using Your Little Finger.

This Bike Was Designed With The 82 1/2 CR 500 Sliver Streak Retro Look With A Modern Version. I Always Do The Polished Covers On My Husky's As The Tribute To The Old Polished Tanks.

Guys, Hope You Like It And Any Pos Or Neg Comments Are Appreciated. I think Polishing The Rims/Spokes While Mounted About Did Me In!

I put my black wheel on from my 09 and it was too much black and clashed. Xcuvator talked me in to polishing the rims or do them in chrome powder coat. So thanx Steve, my fingers are still sore!

Motorhead: still have to get the red plug wire/red cap yet! Thanx Guys!

I also made skid plate brackets and welded them to underside of frame and used speed nuts with thick rubber washers.

Well done Darin, I see why you were waiting for them to get your grapics the way you wanted them. They really fit the way you have prepared the rest of the bike. +10!

I hope you can get some closeups when it's not overcast to show off the polish.

WHAT!!! no red paint on the brembo logo?

    AWESOME looking bike !

I was not really liking the silver graphics until you got the bike done and WOW, looks fantastic. I am decking out a 04 CR125 right now with all white plastic and custom blue black and white graphics. Will not polish and take the time you did as i hammer my bikes but should look good.

BTW, are you near St. Louis? My WB165 lives there now. You should hook up with my buddy Jason and ride it.

And man, one of these would look good on there :D

Could even do a polished unit for you (silver)
