My spidy senses were right on last year with the TXC and I getting the same feeling this year with the WR125, I think you are right.

    - if they slap a 200 barrel on that next year it is game over.

raisrx251 rode one and says it feels like a TXC250, that you can't feel the weight of the motor. Feels trials bike light.:D

It was really hard to say as the bike was still too lean. It was about 28 degrees and 1000 foot above sea level, the bike had a 440 main, 25 pilot, 5.0 slide, 5th clip on the needle. Not the right jetting still and will take some more trial and error. I think that is a pretty big slide especially for our temps. The bike had the burble when whacking the throttle. In my opinion I think the bike is going to be really good. Honestly I was a little concerned as I really liked the handling of my '07 WR 125 I had. These bikes already will let you use the edge of the trail and go places other bikes won't go. With the new frame it seemed even easier to steer the bike through the tight trees. The bike seems small and the look of it is even better in person. I only rode the bike maybe 2 miles in the woods and a few blasts up a hill in a field to hear the sweet sound of a 125 through the gears. To all the new owners of one Congratulations and I think you are going to love it. Will try to find out more about jetting.

I can't take this...sounds so good already and it wasn't even dialed. "turns easier in the trees"...I could have used that yesterday...."seems smaller" could of used that too. I'm literally sitting here thinking what I can sell and if people will buy it right now...haha

Based on those jetting specs the carb must really be the new TMX, like the one the jap mxer's have.

And to all the future owner's congrats and get me some pics.......:busted:

Hey, my dealer this morning found a jetting kit that was supplied with the bike. It comes with the main jets, pilots, 4.0 slide. It was in with the headlight. The extra needle was I think a 1674? I think actual weight is similar to the older 125's it's just the new frame makes the bike feel and steer lighter.

Bob Roberts and Matt Kearney were running neck and neck at the end of the first 45 mile loop in about 20 th overall at the AMA National this weeken WHY Because Husky 125 are that good .Now you factor in the fact there were about 400 bikes on the line and all the major factory pros were there it makes the Husky 125 even look better.
Bob finished some where in the mid 20 and first 125 Matt finished a little ways back but still got 3rd 125 .The second loop was one of the tuffest i have seen in a long time with major up and down hills but for me my stock 125 out climed alot of bigger 4 strokes
All this good stuff from a little bike which cost about half the price of a open class 4 stroke go figure .

I think Mikuni calls several carbs a "TMX" for some confusing reason. I hope the 09 has a new carb that does not make a Keihin upgrade all that important. I think it looks like the YZ carb. I never hear YZ125 guys putting PWK's on. The Honda CR250's have the same TMX as the older Huskys and the Honda guys often swap to a PWK. There must bew a reason for this.

Thanks for clearing that up Norman.....I will have my box of jets handy when mine gets here.....I cant believe they have a 25 pilot OEM settings...???? needle specs appear to be husky part number...hmmm

I suspect the old TMX jetting specs wont apply to this newer model....with the totally different shaped slide....

    we'll see........

They have these listed at 222 lbs and the CR at 202LBs is there that much difference between the two??

Everything on the spec sheet that I found , they look pretty much the same up to the dimensions and of course the lights and stuff. Is the tank on the WR really only a 1.8 like the CR??

    Thanks in advance !!
