I run the same setup with good results. Just a little midrange bog when I get on the gas, but that is probably because I'm a fat@ss.
As sent from heaven! The first owner of my te310, contacted me and sayed he had some parts for me. Best part was a green nozxle in un opened husky bag. It has the opgraded ecu and leo vince exhaust.
There was no Loctite on mine, but those cheesy Japanese standard screw heads can be a challenge. Squirt a little Kroil around the screw head and let it sit for a while before trying to remove them. If that doesn't work, you can use a chisel to turn them and get them loose. I replaced mine with allen head cap screws.
no loctite traces on mine either, but some one had all ready destroyed mine and put them back in.... lovely! an impact driver got them off and new allen screws got in. I don't have Ibeat, so hope TPS is ok.
Is it worth doing this upgrade (8000h7555) on a 2014 te310r..I just ordered through my dealer because there's no way to get akrapovic exhaust , or any other aftermarket exhaust systems for this bike...definitely going to put the new exhaust on and re map...just not sure about injector?
The screws that hold the injector in are number 3 Philips. Any other size of Philips or if number 3 Posidriv is used, it will 'cam out' the screw head, as these are VERY tight!
Is it still possible to get the ecu and injector.. Because the swedish dealers have some troubles getting the kit.
if you cant find one, let me know. I have a spare ECU from a 2012 TXC310 that uses a 12pt injector. You can use it with the Kawasaki injector.
Two different kits listed are listed under the fuel/air category http://www.halls-cycles.com/default.asp?page=xstore&zcid=5600 I'm not sure which one is for the 310 or the 250.
Thanks R little. I will . the sad thing is that the kit has a price of $700 in sweden. so i really hope that he cant get his hands one so i can get it for half the price from the Usna. Thanks for the link joedirt
$700 is nuts. I think the Injector is like $90 in the States. You should price it in Sweden. If you can get the injector I have the ECU. BTW, I used to work for a company in Gothenborg. I can have a friend bring it over. ha!
They are JIS "Japanese Industrial Standard" screws, not Philips. Close, but enough difference that coupled with the soft metal of the OEM screws can create a big hassle getting one out if it has become stuck by galvanic corrosion between the steel of the screw and the aluminum of the fuel rail. If the screw does not break loose with moderate torque, the answer is to hit it with some penetrating oil (I prefer Kroil) and let it sit for an hour then try again.
remember this only applies to mikuni fi throttle bodied x lites dont get off track 2011 te310 had a 4 port injector for sure , txc310 2012 modelhad the 12 port injector i essentially converted my 2011 blackhead into a 2012 txc310 blackhead with the injector/ecu oem kitted te-race package, mine has a 2010 tc250 ti muffler withe the sa/db cap installed and runs perfectly from day one up untill now with its new owner...this fyi. lots of trail and racing comp, always runs flawlessly with this set up the tc ti muffler weighs 4lbs less than than the oem te muffler and is shorter, the weight difference is instantly felt while riding the bike, if you can source one i highly recommend it.. i believe 2012 and newer mikuni fi xlites all have 12 port injectors.
so the te model for 2012 still had the 4 port injectors, easy conversion to race spec (TXC) just add the ecu and 12 port injector kit. we all agree this is a "must do" mod for sure. bike runs smoother with a more torquey feel all around. (less sharp/lean feeling) heres my 2011 TE310 blackhead again in its FIM style enduro race ready mode (2012 TXC310 mikuni FI spec). bike is still going strong with its new owner.
