Come on, you can ride 6 inch wide single trac between trees all day and you can't ride up a ramp into a truck!!
I see this all the time. Ride a 6 inch strip of trail 2 feet from a cliff but can't ride a 6" plank across a river. The mind plays tricks on you for sure.
The Te250 2010-2011 engine is a race engine, it has the less rotorymass then any 250f, if you cant ride a Te250 as it is even whit the pu kitt buy a another bike, for the Te250 is a race bike and want to be riden as a 125a
there has always been a "stumble" and IF this is a fix then it's a fix to a problem from new. upgrades apply to items that provide better "properly" operating systems. this IS a fix. a very expensive one at that !
FWIW, I don't ride the bike up the ramp. I walk along side it, while operating the clutch and gas to get the bike to crawl up the ramp. Although... my ramp is rated for 1000 lbs... Let's see bike is 250 wet... that leaves 750 lbs... Hmmm, I may need to go on a diet for a bit...
I agree with this and that is the way I ride it, this is why I bought the LEO kit . After I installed it, I had the dealer reset the TPS as per Husky on I-beat. The mechanic called to say "Bring you helmet" ??? So on my test ride around the block, I returned to say " Sounds good and runs good but what is up with the stumble right on throttle and can we tune that out ??? I was told No at the time. With the help of this site, and not much from Husky, I have my bike running great, but not perfect... If I can take the after market PCV off and install this Husky Special Parts $$$ to make it " The Perfect 250". I will order it tomorrow if I can get it ??? Keep you all posted....
The TE310 is NOT a race bike, the TC310 is. These kind of efi issues shouldn't be present on a dual sport. Especially when Husky has been shipping efi bikes for at least 5 years.
Yeah, I thought you were talking about riding up the ramp I've clutch walked it up mine a few times but usually just push sometimes with a buddy's help to steady it. My ramp is one of those "fold in half" Fly racing about 6 inches wide. Psyches me out to think of driving up it plus I don't trust the lipped end on the tail gate to hold up to a hit driving up. I'm usually so wiped out at the end of a ride I don't need to be falling off a ramp after all the previous fun. 12 hole injector sounds interesting. Wonder what it'll do for us in reality without factory team support. Is good to see things develop for the crappy Mikuni system, regardless. Mine runs good enough to leave alone unless the price is really good to upgrade.
Hey Dave, I already purchased the 8000H2929 silencer/ECU for a 10 TXC. So now they are having to update the CDI for this injector? Wonder what the possibility is of this being able to get in a timely fashion?
Sorry , WRONG ! TE range are racing Enduro bikes here in Europe . This "dual sport" U.S. concept is not what the bike is designed for , but Husky are not going to stop you if thats what you want to do ! This is a common misunderstanding . There are dozens of posts regarding large fuel Tanks, wide ratio Gearboxes, Racks & Luggage etc... on here, All trying to turn the bike into something it is not really designed for ! Take a look at the World Enduro Champs, watch Antoine Meo on a TE310 and see what a TE310 is designed to do ! As for EFI problems ? I race 011 TE310 (45 hours now), have slightly tuned EFI with Ibeat (which is basically same as changing a jet !) and have NO problems and am VERY HAPPY with the Bike . Could it be made better ? Of course ! BUT so could every Bike, Car, Mechanical device on the Planet ! Dont knock Husky for giving us an oppitunity to update and improve our bikes . This can only be a good thing .
It's not an CDI update but a new CDI unit that comes with the Injector, so once you get the kit you're ready to go! Dave
Is this a 2011 thing? My 2010 310, I do exactly as you do, clutch it up the ramp in 1st gear and I walk beside it on a separate ramp. I am running the Husky Race ECU. Mine doesn't stall. I have been very happy with the state of tune of this ECU. I feel no need to change anything, works awesome so far.
Dear Husky, Please Please Please build the 2012 TXC 310 with the new head off of the TC 250 as well as the batteryless FI with upgraded 12 hole injector! If you do this myself, as well as countless others with 8K in their pockets will go out and buy one. Then we will start riding and racing them. Others will see how much fun we are having on our bikes and flock to Husky dealerships to buy their own smile making machines. More happy riders out in the world, more sales for Husky... a win win if I ever saw one.
Man, I totally agree with you DG. I have never understood why the U.S. wants to justify the TE range as a dual sport bike. It is not like the bike is inferior with a more weak frame than a TC/TXC. I think someone must have tried to justify for us to have a TXC model at one time being so close to the TE range. The TE is not designed for pavement and then when people get angry that the bike gets damaged from being a commuter bike during the week for 25 miles round trip it bugs me. Just tell the truth, race bike with a tag.
You have a totally different motor based off of the older series, he has a x-lite motor, way racier engine.
Ok so is this going to be a in stock part for US Husky? If it takes care of the 2500-3500rpm sputter I'm all in. And yes I "slowly" walk my bike up the ramp using the engine but have to rev it way above the 3000rpm to avoid the pulsing.
I already had the Leo ECU/Silencer, so I ordered ECU FI injector only. Not sure on the price yet. My new injector/ECU is in for my TXC 250!! Will report back if this makes a difference in performance.
