This appears to be the fix - no worm gear drive as shown on the new motor 250/340...now sell a affordable upgrade kit...especially with that bad ass billet MOTOR.jpg

I didn't know about that ... no good, let's see if they can move forward ...

Starter and cover look different ... do you think an upgrade kit can fit ... ¿?

Got a hold of a almost new flywheel from a 2014 TXC 310 and compared to the original- WHOA! what a difference! New flywheel appears to have some type of hardening process (dark coloration), no deep grooves in freewheel contact area and when I measured the inner diameter of both, the original was .25mm /.009" wider! I can't wait to install the new flywheel! newfly1.JPG newfly2.JPG flyold.JPG

Good work there young man and so much for that jargon that was so prevalent in the bwm yrs about bwm making the quality better on the bikes that they assumed responsibility on.

Pretty darn happy there,Skippy! But look here,I am a die hard Husky fan(ain't climbed on the orange bus,tho)..I've owned nothing but Husky's for 41 years, raced 32 years on them, and honestly can swear on a bible and say I have only 3 mechanical let downs by product failure...once on my '82 WR250 after 3 years of use ,the moto plat died ,once on my '86 WR 250 ,which had forks that just wouldn't work, BUT Husky had come up with a fix,at no charge to it's customers, for replacement cartridges and of course now with my'13 TXC 310(which may have been avoided if the dealer did their job originally and therefore any other issues that were known about the early vin numbers - thank goodness Bob from Central Jersey Cycles has made every effort to make this painful problem less costly). After all this,I "intend" to race in a couple enduros,if my knees hold out, but it won't be on the TXC310, it will be my trusty, light weight, easy kick start '07 WR125! Here's my bikes ready for battle -'10 TC250,'07 WR 125, '13 TXC310 1.JPG

My process to turn my TE310R into a TC310R is underway.

    Remove starter - Check
    Remove canister - Check
Remap of ECU by ZipTy - Check
    Remove O2 sensor - Check

    To Do

12 Port injector - need to find
Other things to make it lighter and more me happy - unknown.

First seat time with no starter, feels good. I cant tell if its better or not. I was happy that after flushing all fluids and cold starting after sitting for 3 weeks, 1 kick = start!

The 12 port fix is not required on the 2013/14.

Can loose a 1kg with a new muffler.
Keeping the battery? Another 1kg saving with lithium.
