Fastway pegs spikes do get rounded off and a bit slippery after a while - they are replaceable though
I like the solid quality of the pivot pegs ( old ones at least ) - and new ones are even wider now
I rode with one pivot peg on one side and standard on other side as a test . The pivot peg was just unnoticeable and comfortable whereas it felt like I was on the edge of the standard ones a lot and they were digging in on an edge and footing more easily lost . Expensive but you can always take them off and put on next bike too .

Rode it around the property today for some break in time. 2 heat cycles of about 20 minutes each. Bike starts cold with the choke on second kick, warm first kick, no choke, idles fine after a slight initial adjustment.. Has a slight bog at about 1/4 throttle then cleans out and pulls hard through the mid range to the top. I haven't really rung it out hard yet, or tried to adjust the Lectron. No spooge at the cylinder or silencer. With the Mikuni I had spooge from just idling. Same fuel and mixture, 93 octane non ethanol, Spectra platinum full synthetic @ 40:1 as recommended by Hall's.

Bike seems light and turns really well compared to my WR450F. Traction was good in the field and the front end lifts easily. Suspension as set up by Hall's is OK for play riding, won't really be able to tell what it's like until I can get to the woods. Clutch and transmission shift flawlessly, brakes work well. Overall it feels smooth and tight, as a new bike should.

The Lectron is as advertised, after a little more break in I'll try to adjust the slight bog out.

Also check your power valve actuation arm setting as this is many times the cause for a bog on these machines.

    - Very nice build.

    Kelly,
The power valve is adjusted at the top as far as it would go with about 1/16" of the slot on the actuation arm showing above the top of the bolt. I read through all of the power valve threads here on CH. Should I try to readjust from where it's currently set?

I read the instruction sheet that comes with the carb and it seems a little counter intuitive.

I expect to do a little fiddling with the carb and power valve to get it dialed in.

    Thanks

Very simple. set the PJ at about 1/2 turn out. Adjust the rod for starting and idle and low-mid power. Then play with the PJ to get the top end you need. Turn the rod by quarter turns, clockwise for richer, counterclockwise for leaner. Then push up on the rod and turn it to index it so the flat side faces the cylinder. If you have to open the idle way up to get it to idle you are rich.

sounds like you are right on with the PV setup but for some reason some bikes like it in different spots.

Thanks Kelly. It's real close the way it is. It only bogs slightly if the throttle is opened very fast before the RPM start to build. If the throttle is rolled on, into the power band there is no bog. Does that make sense (my description)? Also it doesn't have much break in time yet so I think it will still change some more.

My 2c on power valve adjustment - make sure by having the bolt at the top that you haven't lost some top end And that the power valves are still fully opening
My best power increase at some point was putting the bolt at the bottom of slot -really felt more top end
I have had mine in middle mostly but tried putting at bottom of slot again and lost nothing from the bottom end
So id do a bit of testing on that setting
Conventionally the bogs are lean bogs but this is not always the case. I was getting a bog but was rich but its not a super big bog that throws you forward like a lean bog

rockdancer-Thanks for the input. The bog is really slight. I'm a perfectionist, to the point I've been called anal. Once I get a little more time on it I'll start to try and fine tune the PV and Lectron to find the best combination. Have you decided what you're going to do with your FWW. I think a FWW would factor into fine tuning.

Ride Report. Finally got into the woods today at the St. Joe ORV park in SE Missouri. The day started off sunny in the mid 60's and then a thunder storm rolled through and dropped the temp. about 10 degrees. Typical single track and 4 wheeler trails here in the park. Some deep gullies, mostly rocks and roots, not many long steep hills. Became kind of snotty and slick after the rain.

The Lectron was perfect, no change in jetting noticeable with the weather change. Starts first kick when warm and idles smoothly. Bike pulls cleanly from the bottom to mid and then has a pretty decent hit on top (Thanks Kelly). I was surprised how well the little bike lugged down low by just using throttle control, I was expecting to be fanning the clutch more to keep the RPM up. Very slight spooge at the silencer.

What a nice handling motorcycle. I had forgotten what a pleasure a light weight 2 stroke is to ride in the woods, my last light weight 2 stroke was a Yamaha IT175 back in the eighties. My WR450F is a pig and won't turn by comparison. The little Husky changes direction with little effort, but still tracks straight in the rough. I only fell once today. The front end washed out on a steep down hill off camber after the rain. The Michelin StarCross tires were better than I expected in the slick conditions. I'll leave them on until they wear a bit.

I was able to get the suspension set up by dialing in less compression and rebound dampening in the fork and shock than the stock set up. Hall's changed out my shock spring for a 5.8 and set the sag for me before it left the shop. Works pretty well on single track but still stiff enough to deal with the faster bumpy stuff. Not much else to report, just feels like a nice tight new motorcycle should. Overall I'm pleased with it, and I still spent less than if I'd have bought the KTM 150xc I was looking at.

I met a fellow Husky rider at the park today. He was out having a great time on his '13 CR125 that Hall's just put a WB165 kit on. I was impressed with his 165 and he was impressed with the Lectron. Another Motorsportz customer in the making.

Pretty old thread there nelly. On a wr300 older yz250 fender works and looks similar. I think it was UFO that came not drilled and just use the metal number plate brace as a template.
