Bill: do you have a pin? I couldn't get it out of the old cylinder.

ok just saw your pics on the other page. I had not noticed that. I remember I had difficulty taking the long pin out of the cylinder, now I know why. There is probably no little pin my 144 right now, I will definately check this out. THANKS

Bill hooked me up with a pin so I am back in business to ride this weekend. It's great having good dealer support.

I got a pin and a top end bearing thrown in with my kit. It would be better if the kit came with those two aprts in the first place though.

    Kelly,

Bolt that baby together and give us the unvarnished truth from the Motosportz point of view. :D Also I would still like for you to post a pic of the new power valves next to the stock 125 power valves, especially from the face on view. Very interested to see Huskies grind for the 144 compared to the 125.

    Thanks,
    Walt

I put 22 miles on the OEM 144 kit today. Much more bottom then the 125. Enough to haul my 220 lb butt around and make me forget the 250 I traded. I left the jetting the same and its a little on the rich side. The plug chop was light brown so I'm going to leave the main alone. It was raining so hard that I wasn't able to play with the needle but I'm going to put a 38 pilot in for the next ride. Or I might just get the pwk and quit messing with tmx.

I kept seeing just how far down I could lug it and was really impressed.

I just got mine done today. I did a couple of heat cycles and a fairly gentle ride up and down the dirt road. It seemed to have more bottom and mid, but I'll have to really ride it to see. My PWK jetted for much warmer weather than the 51F and raining today, seemed perfect. I'm guessing I'll be jetting down when warmer weather returns. Seems like a hit to me!

Just glad to finally get the kit and install it. I wish I had gotten it on last Wednesday as planned and flogged the snot out of it today! Then you'd be hearing a little excitement...... I can't wait to point this thing at the biggest snottiest hill in my terrain (You know who you are!) and give it a go!:D

The kit pieces are all very nice, typical Euro high quality, but still suprised Husky didn't include the 40 Cent pin for the power valve shaft end. 125 top end has a lot of time on it, but still looks almost new. This bike will kick arse!:busted:

    Norm/Kelly,

Let us know what you end up with warm weather jetting on the PWK/144 kit?

    Thanx

Does the pwk add throttle response on the bottom? I can't tell if it is the tmx or flywheel that makes the throttle respond sluggish on the bottom through half throttle.

The piston I just took out of your '02 showed no wear either!

The 144 puts some low and mid in the bike.

    Much easier to ride.

It may have a bit less top end though.

    LawnDartMike,

The 38 PWK is great on the bottom vs 38 TMX. I will tell you that you will need to get the pilot, needle and air screw dialed in and it'll rip!

I got to put a few trail miles on the OEM 144 kitted bike today.... Awesome! :notworthy:
It has more bottom and mid with no loss of top end. It goes everywhere a gear higher than before, but I'm going to leave it 13/52 to have the extra grunt on the really gnarly uphills.

It seems to work really well with the PWK. All the stuff that I was chasing, jetting wise with the PWK on the 125, seems to have gone away with the 144 kit.

    Best 19cc's on God's little green planet!:D

    Norman,

Great! Glad it works for you. Did you compare power valves when you made the swap? I am way interested in comparisons of the grinds.

    Thanks,

That's what we wanted to hear Norm. Can you tell us what your elevation is and jetting?

Elevation 1000-2000', PWK jetting.... 175 main, 42 pilot, JD red needle 3rd position, AS 1.5. A bit different from others, but is working at temps from 50-75F. It will be mid 80's this weekend, so we'll see.

    Walt,
I didn't think to study the PV's, as I was working on a limited time schedule and was try to be careful and get it done.:busted:

There must be an increase in top end power - just doesnt feel like it as mid range stronger?
    right?...
