Good news! Got two more needles in. Ha! Waiting on these for 6 weeks. So, gonna test more tonight.

Maybe some day the great grand kids will find all my needles. Stick them in styrofoam, use safety wire to make fencing for their toy horses. If they smart? Hook one of those 9 volt batteries to both ends and electrify it. Don't want any them plastic horse toys gettin out of fence!

My understanding is they don't like to be mixed as can/will cause the seals to swell up/leak/deteriorate.

Yeah, I'm staying with recommended brake fluid.

    Lordy!

As the clutch fluid plot thickens!

So think my cap says Dot 4 Dot 5

But according to a lot of scuddle out there. Guess Dot 5.1 can be used with Dot 3/4.

Dot 3/4 is Glycol based and corrosive, will attract water.

Dot 5 is silicone based and guys say it is spongier when used in their brakes. But it does not mix with Dot 3/4! Well i know I put Dot 5 in when I first bleed the clutch!

Well maybe that is why I was having clutch issues. Ever since I flushed my entire clutch system and put Dot 4 in. Seems to be working! Hmmm now this will prob start a brake fluid thread!

Oh you silly boy, never mix 5 with anything else! Big advantage of 5.1 is that it holds up to high brake temps, but contaminates easier than 3 or 4 and should get flushed more often. Theoretically you wouldn't really need 5.1 for the clutch, but it's easier to just have one grade fluid. The older Magura mineral oil set ups on my '15 TE150 and '16 200XC-W are so light, they are magic. I know feeling the '17 Husky Magura in the showroom, it feels as light, but the Brembo on the 150XC-W feels much stiffer.

Yeah, I learned something new, for sure.

Ok Norm! You better fess up to how many times you have been to the showroom checking out new bikes?

Just make sure when you pull one out of the row,to sit on, you don't knock the whole bike row down!

Too often.... I haven't seen a TE150 though, as my local dealer didn't order any. He thought the street legal '17 FE250 would be a bigger seller... Pity the fool!:oldman:

Tigged the stainless steel husky badge on then blued pipe with torch.

Then seasoned with 90wt gear oil while it was hot.

Speaking of dealers and showrooms, I drove 90 miles to my nearest KTM/Husky dealer with the idea I was going to sit on the new bikes (especially the 150) and decide if the ergos would suit me. The salesman told me they didn't plan to get any 150s because it takes them forever to sell one. Oh well I'm still happy with my 09 WR250 and my yz125 and my Bultaco Astro framed Honda 500.

TE125's have been slow sellers, so some dealers are gun shy. Husky is finally waking up with the US/Canada only TE150 Estart(rest of the world gets TX125). If they had been smarter from the beginning, dealers wouldn't be small bore shy. KTM dropped the 150XC in '15 and it would have made sense to bring a TE150 into the US/Canada market instead of the TE125. My '15 TE125 was a good bike, made much better by the 150 conversion. A TE200 Estart would have been a big seller too, as a 200 linkage bike is a cult thing with KTM guys.

Yeah, that's why I got it based on your advice.

The Scalvini was described as more mid and upper pipe. Prob suited more for motocross.

Wish bunch of you guys lived close cause I'd like for you guys to ride it and see your reaction.

    Anyone need a big hand?
Ha! My right hand is twice size of me left! Thought momma gonna have to help me get my shirt on this morning!
Oh, I asked dealer if they have any more 150's? They sold every one before they received. Guess I got lucky to put in for one way in advance. They are trying to see if any dealer will negotiate, to get couple more. Sounds like they haven't had any luck so far. I got tons of compliments on how fast bike was yesterday and the sound it makes.

Going to do some more testing and tuning yet, then bike gets torn apart for next years transformation.
