Out riding single track and loading up on bottom end through trails.

Down to 35 pilot and that's as small as I got. Dropped main to a 480 and really pulls up top crisp.

Actually, I think front and rear suspension is nice. I'm bottoming on hard hits so running clickers up some and working.

Love the handling, hauling through woods. Feels like an x lite frame but roomier.

Looks good. I wonder how a Lectron would work on it. Lectron sure makes my wb165 run clean bottom to top.

Prob work pretty good for elevations and guy that doesn't want to jet.

I will tell you that the stock TMXX is a good one inside and should not have any issues unless elevation/ cold temp changes.

This carb I have on this in a whole new world. I got countless hours trying to get more out of them.

I bought Electron, Keihin ( I was even using the alcohol needles), to try few years ago and it was crisp.

I could not get it close to my modded TMXX all around. So don't take that the wrong way! I cut my own Mikuni needles, mod the insides, polish, make my own wings and use a 6 slide.

It's just my preference for my elevation and my racing.

Stick with what works. If it works don't fix it. Sounds like you've got pretty dialed!

Ya I did not realize how much time and work you have put into the tmxx carb. How does the TE150 compare to a 200 xc-w or Beta 250rr. I am still on the fence on what bike to buy next year.

    Oh I agree.

I can recommend a good tire to someone and he hates it.

Yes, stick what works for you.

I had my carb under the work bench for years. So, couple things could be going on.

Float height might be lil off and letting lil fuel through. But I'm dry under my overflow tubes by skid plate.

Also, I'm going from a stock 6-74 needle to a thinner 6-62 needle. I'm sure it don't like the extra fuel in tight woods, cause when I got a chance to nail it through somewhat straight section. Took a second to clean out.

Yeah, I cut all kinds up, I got off ebay. Drilling holes, boring them. Photocopying the needles and sanding out transition tapers that gave a little hit, etc.....

I have no clue on the other bikes comparing them with this new 150. I'm just happy as heck that it hangs with the new FC 250 engine.

I wouldn't be very happy with its price tag, then having to do a lot of suspension stuff, engine mods, etc....
I am quite impressed how it came off the showroom floor......

I also don't know if a FMF Fatty would be good on this because it may kill the top end out of it?????
Heck the bottoms wants to wheelie a lot, now.

Fatty is not a bottom end pipe like a Gnarly. Fatty will be more mid/top and knock that wheelie edge of the bottom....

Oh! Then that is a plus! Thanx for clarifying that. Yeah, don't need any more gnarly in the thing.

I have the FMF Fatty for the new 150 and it definitely doesn't kill the top. I pulled it off the TC150 to install on the new TE150. Typical Fatty response with nice bottom, good mid, and ripping, never ending top end.

Your TMXX sounds like it will be as close to perfect as it can get. If I didn't need something to transition 5-6K' in elevation almost every ride, I would stick with the stock carb and sort it out. I also like the mileage bump of the Lectron. I just don't have the time or inclination to spend time jetting when it will just be off a half hour into the ride.

The new FC250 is very fast. If it is a push in acceleration with that then it is really humping for a 144....That is my experience too. Very much a rocket ship of a small bore that still runs amazingly well on the bottom/mid.

Love your work and keep sorting and posting. I look forward to where you end up on your suspension settings. I don't have your speed so might not need the bottoming resistance you want.

I also have the new TCII 2.1 sparky. I think it hurts the top a bit compared to the stock silencer but that isn't surprising. It is also very big and also quiet. I actually like it.

Thanx for imput Walt. From you and Norms Recommendations, I will go fatty then.

My honest opinion is: I don't think the fork or shock going to need revalved.
I have to wait lil longer till the boinkers break in. If anything, I will go up front and back one spring size.

I was gripping front wise pretty darn good yesterday and not richoting off all the roots rocks and etc....
I tried every thing possible to push it. I did bottom couple times hard both front and rear but went two clicks up. Now I'm not bottoming and staying about an inch up.

In the manual, I set preload dial at 3 on both forks. One issue, in order to go beyond 3, the fork bleeders will have to be removed. Some not thought that one out?

I also set everything on sport both ends -12 clicks. Front/back is then + 2 clicks compression only.

I like the rebound the way it is.

The back tire is no good! Wearing fast and knobs are spaced too far. It effects my braking and excellaration in corners.
I cannot believe that knobs are rounded off already.

Norm, what Golden Tyre are you running for your terrain? Mine is similar.

    Definately will go fatty 216aa.

I will post video shortly of how fast I got this bike running. You can tell it's hauling arse way above stock!
I wanted to come out of that corner faster but it was muddy and I'd end up on me arse!
Camera man was lil shaky cause the skeeters were biting him all over! That tire kinda scary went it breaks grip.
I knew it as soon as the carb went on;)!

Also, keep in mind that with all meeeee gear on, I'm probably 205 to 210 lbs and 6 foot tall.
Just imagine a guy on my bike at 175-180?

See, I ran into the same thing on my old 09 144. I had a Dynoport pipe on it and the FMF TC killed it. One day I put the stock one back on and it was a huge improvement.

    Thanx for imput!

Dar stands for Darin. Typpy stands for a lil miniature horse we have. He has short cow hawk legs, kinda fat and walks funny. I call him a wide bottom model. But everyone loves him and grand kids. We knew he had issue and Mrs. Felt sorry for him and yep, we ended up with him. We have horse farm and we called it Typpyt.
The folks we got Typpy off of. Called him Typpy because of there uncle whom drank a lot and would walk typsie.
So: I used Dartyppyt as my name on here.

    I run 80/100-21 216 front and 120/90-18 216 X gummy rear on my '15 TE150. I don't like to "over tire" a small bike front or rear.

Roger Norm. I had the 216aa and really like it.

Ok these odd spark plugs are $18 bux piece! Dang should thrown in box wif financing for 48 months!

Yeah, no one has them at local shops. I'm sure there is a cross over out there?

Maybe they are a NGK spooge burning plug, for emissions! So plug is prob $4 bux and EPA tax is $14.
