Man, I hope Husqvarna corporate sees this thread and uses your bike in an add. Maybe they'll throw you some $ to help recoup some build cost too.

    Frame guards?

    Acerbis yellow and white?

Or go with white tape with blue logo and short black stock guards?

Removed duct tape after polishing whole silencer and coming out of blast cabinet.

    Now the artwork begins.

So this is how the Husky logo stays polished.

    The silencer is done.

You'll only see bottom 1/4 of silencer and and you'll see the logo, due to side plate.

Had to start with the dark colors first to make the polished Husky logo pop.

Holding calipers up you don't see the yellow so gave it an anodized blue background.

WHAT A GREAT THREAD I love all the good info. As I was reading through it pretty much every question I could come up with was mentioned. Was glad to read about the chassis lubrication and anti-seize on the spoke nipples. Also glad to hear I probably won't need to re-spring it for my weight (190 with gear and not racing anymore).

Quick intro, raced qualifier series in the late 80's on an 86 kdx 200, man was the Trask Mountain Two Day a fun race, too bad it's gone now. Family happened and stopped racing, after the kids are gone I got the dirt itch again so I picked up an 06 DRZ for DS riding 10 years ago. Found myself riding more and more on the trails and after getting the DRZ working good with suspension work and pumper carb I realized the weight was just too much for this old man on the trails (it's a great low-cost do it all bike though). Remembering back to the good old days of a super light two stroke and thought about getting the KTM 200. Looked and found that was no longer being made and went to Gresham Power Sports last week of December to look at the orange 150 and ended up getting the TE 150 they had just received the day before. I haven't had much chance to ride it except on my back couple acres. From what I can tell THERE WILL BE NO REGRETS IN GETTING THE TE !!! Such good power and did I mention light, light, light weight? I'll be glad when the snow is gone and I can get into the coast range for a real ride.

The engineering and quality parts is outstanding. Well, except maybe for the reeds/cage as I'm reading now.

I really envy you guys that have all that time to do all that stuff to your bikes. I started a company about 10 years ago and the tread mill there is running pretty fast these days. Good thing the payoff is there so I can spend money on toys like this.

And of course the obligatory pic - before hand guards and spark arrestor. Who makes a woods bike with out one of those these days? Still waiting for the skid plate which was on back order apparently.

Definitely looking forward to more posts in this thread as the season starts up again.

    Noel

Yeah I had him spring/valve my suspension and bought a FCR-MX from him before the whole Epic/SSW thing blew up. At that point I decided not to do any more motor mods as I realized I was never going to be able to deal with the extra weight on single track and started saving for the small 2T.

I did get the plastics, seat, and tank off the other night so I could get at the carb on the TE. 5 bolts hold the tank, 3 more to get the seat and sides off. I'm taking it real slow and looking at all the details of how everything fits as I go along as I'm not familiar with KTM/Husky designs. I hope to look in the carb, drop the PJ one size, check\set float height, and note needle/clip. Too busy at work, not enough quality time in the shop............
