Almost finish at least for now, as the racing season next weekend.

Repainted fork leg lowers & rear brake arm, added counter shaft chain guard, new levers & perches

i know its a way over used term, but it has a great patina! thats how i like my used (and rode) bikes to look. the black or the burgundy tanks are my favorite as well.

Really like the patina on the silver framed bikes, not so much on the white bikes, they just look dirty. Really thinking about turning my 500 into silver bike.

i know what you mean...they look good after a wash tho. i think the 84 bikes look great but the constant battle with browning tanks really sucks. i really like the ergos of the 84 seat/tank tho. much better for me than 83 bikes.

Raced the old Girl last Sunday, was in 3rd fell back to 5th of 11 , 1 moto ,was having problems with rear brake not working right. Better start 2nd moto, but
fell on a over watered jump landing area, finished last.

Bike ran good, rear suspension too soft , i need to put those stiffer dual progressive springs in place of the single rate ones. Good shake down race , happy
for the most part, once i fix the rear brake & springs.

My Daughter took some nice shots with her new digital camera, so she learning new equipment just like me.

So how did it handle outside of the spongy rear suspension?

So, to ride an event like the Unadilla Rewind weekend, what organization would I need to join? AMHRA? AMA? Both?

Neither , I mean you can if you like, but you can get a day pass for AHRMA races, so you don't to join & they don't require an AMA card.

The plan was to race the 360 & my 430 at Unadilla, hope to see you up there.

It won't be this year I do not have a bike ready nor the truck to haul it with. I am hoping to get the transmission out of the truck and getting the seals I need for it.

When I do go, I would like to bring the 430WR engine in the 83 CR frame with the 430CR maroon tank on it, my TT500 hybrid, and my Montesa 349 Cota for the trials portion. I would likely ride the 430 in the cross country or if the TT500 engine ends up in the ML frame it could go either on the MX portion and certainly the 430 could as well
