Well, I finally finished the Bike!! Yeah Team!!! I got the electrical finished and put some heat reflective tap under the left side panel. Not so sure that is going to stop the Melty but we will see. I took a video of the start and idle, but got a massive cramp in my left leg getting off the side stand, so the video is short, Plus the Smoky the Shop!!. The Hi and Lo beams work and so does the rear running and brake light so I think we are ready for Spring!!:busted: Thanks for all your help and encouragement to keep going. Chris

Great result Chris! It sounds crisp, is it getting easier to start now that you've had a chance to set mixture, idle speed etc?

It is easier to start now. That was only 18 kicks and it started right up!! Hahahah, I had no idea the idle screw was in so far and that probably was why so many kicks as I primed the cylinder thru the plug hole. Once I put the choke on, only a few kicks later it fired. I will really only ride this on groomed trails other wise I'll probably get into big trouble. It is A LOT OF BIKE, and I'm really only an amateur rider. But I LOVE Building them. After seeing a few on here I decided to get one. Probably the worst idea I've had in a while, like your 400 WRX Tony. A hell of a lot of work!! Chris

I'm thinking of getting a new one from Husqvarna-parts .com. May be go down to a 38 seeing he only has the rubbers for those. I thought i replaced that rubber, alas probably the only old part on the bike!!:busted:

Odd that the idle screw was missing, the 500's don't really vibrate. :D
