I think a WR ignition swap is around $400. It would give you an advance curve with more linier power but less midrange hit, much more flywheel weight, and 130 watts of juice. If you want all three of those things then the WR ignition might be the way to go. If you just want lights then I know Bills Motorcycle Plus rewinds the stock unit for about $100.

TraskRider – I guess I will not be the only Husky 125 in the Trask. I rode from Jordans to Ginger Creek last weekend and the little bike was awesome.

Dude...you keep losing weight and so does your bikes What's that a 40 pound swing...make us proud with your racing results. By the way, I'm looking to do my first race EVER at the end of the riding season this year. As you know, I'm working out a TON! I guess three years into riding and it's time...maybe a 125 is in my future too!

hey NWrider, how was your fuel mileage?, wondering about range on this cr, my 02' wr 125 never ran out of gas, but it was over 2 gal. capacity. Did you ride from jordan to ginger and back on a one tank?, if so that seems pretty good!!

I think the 02 was 2.9 gallons and my 06 is 2.5. I also think your 08 CR is 2.5

I can get about 65 miles but I am not screaming the bike all day and I have to not waste fuel on road sections. I also have a 36mm PWK and fairly good jetting. I am not sure what the range would be with the stock TMX.

IMS makes a big tank and I might get one but it is really wide and obtrusive.

I would like to pack some extra gas and do the Ginger ride and get in 80 miles or so.

Just to be clear, I think the area we rode to is the "blue bus area". We did not go all the way to the staging area. I just knew I was on many of the same trails that I do when I start at Ginger. I think we did about 60 miles but I am not sure as my odometer battery is dead.

    We should ride sometime.

That's a good one, do it. A lot like Belfair. They do a learner enduro sat and then you race sunday. Cool gig.

He was out there yesterday. Scott and I saw his van and he left a tape "HI" on Scott's windshield.

*Sigh* It never fails. I think I get a screaming deal on something, then someone with actual negotiating skills comes out of the shadows to inform me I could have gotten an even better deal... :P ;)

Dude, how many times have you seen mu truck!!! Husky sticker on the back. Good stuff out there huh?

dfeckel - Awesome deal on that bike no matter who got what deal. Those prices seem unobtainable. I'm getting my 09 WR125 for $7.35

what do you mean "unobtainable prices", a hold over 08' can be had fairly priced, especially when the 09's are on the floor. I do agree anybody who buys a Husky is getting a sweet deal, regardless of the price:thumbsup:

Also remember that OTD prices in Oregon do not have any sales tax. I don't know if the "local dealer" is Bills but if it is he always has some amazing deals. I got my WR125 for 3500 OTD from him. I did look for a long time to get a deal on a WR but deals on CRs were not so hard to come by. The Husky 125s are such nice bikes that really they would be a bargain at full MSRP.

I was going to rib Kelly on the fact that his bikes are now tax-deductible business expenses for him (rolling parts research labs), but according to the AMA Magazine, it looks as if the tax on the purchase of any new motorcycle will be deductible from the 2009 return--hooray economic stimulus!
