had to feather the heck out of the swingarm it had some deep gouges, but it turned out reasonable.
Looking for a swingarm graphic to hide some of the hacks.
also added the new tech coolant pump and will continue to use the ZipTy/evans non-aqueous coolant.

These are the ones I have on now, with the velcro (with ziptys over) for easy removal

for maintenance routine remember to remove and wash them from time to time, they turn into dirt/sand holding "sand paper" on your fork lowers.

OK she is fully assembled and has been started. Not much different looking just all new internals , no BNG (bold new graphics) so just a few new sponsor stickers and mostly all the old stuff reinstalled. will get a couple of photos to post, ride report?? only that she will be much smoother on the throttle with the C/B shaft, will feel that for sure, she all ready feel smoother just running at no movment. Also hope for a good clutch, with new ZipTy slave and brand new 7602 piston, Master was recently replaced, and hose looks good.

first ride today with all the new stuff, I dont know why Hus removed the C/B from the bikes (cost savings??) The motor is much more smooth, and honestly the flywheel effect actually feels lighter than with the oem press on weight and no C/B shaft. Rear suspension seems to feel smoother as well but I cant say if its all the new bearings or a combo of bearings and the high back chain buffer, but the rear seems smoother across the hack stuff under acceleration. I was not at my A game as its been since the end of aprill since I rode the TXC, and body positions and feel are still off from riding the 610.
last spring i was coming into corners with the bars in understeer mode and pushing the front hard, and today i was behind the bike in alot of cases out on the trail.

I felt my ability to attack the trail like prior to the surgery and bike dissassembly was not there yet (it will come back with more saddle time). but anyway the motor feels really good and smooth, like I had hoped it would.

I couple more pounds to lose and more cardio rehab will be needed to even see the dust from the 2 fast guys out of four of us that we rode with yesterday. The good thing was riding with guys that are way better than you to raise the level of your game. Hope to get in more sessions with that skill/speed set.
Mitch that was good loop man, I really felt it and am feelin it, gotta get my stand up/trials game back on, the 610 made me lazy.. PS Mitch, lookin good man!!! Drop and lets lose 20

For us fans it was like 1975 as far as machinery goes, 3 Huskys and 1 Kawasaki

another thought thread on ride 1

rode the TXC450 for its first break in ride. I am out of sorts (timing and speed) with the bike after not riding it since my valve job and the bikes rebuild sugery at the end of April.
Still rode a good solid loop with one top level dez pro (Husky) and one US offroad racing legend (Kaw), and one other weekend warrior(Husky) like myself(Husky).
My statement, Husqvarna should have never removed the counter balance shaft assembly..from this family of motors 450/510...the bike just feels so much better under power and almost feels like it has less flywheel effect with the crank weight removed and C/B hardware all installed. ( note we welded the C/B assy crank gear on with 4 tacks, then cleaned up to flush with the gear face) My engineering opinion was that this was/is not a good idea to press/interference fit a C/B shaft drive gear onto the crank, as it could slip and cause catastrophic engine damage.
The fresh piston and valves, cam chain etc were not noticed but she runs very clean. The other change we made was to install the ZipTy racing high back chain buffer/slider,,,, the rear feels more controllable but I can not say with 100% that it is the buffer assy, because my bearings were thrashed and now its all free moving back there. Anyway my test parameters are a little down from last spring when I was really riding the TXC hard, need more saddle time get a real assesment at stronger/harder/faster riding settings. RN

I know and I am putting in a big effort to join your show. Truth is logistically its a hard one for me at this moment. I will do my best to get out and do the 4 looper, I need the seat time and the workout but not the divorce......

The bike doesn't feel more torquey? A friend recently rebuilt his 06 gasser 450 after 160 hours and said it turned into a wheelstand machine, he never knew how much torque he was missing out on.
