2009 TC Ti (titanium) parts

    Yeah, I'm all for a "special Ti parts for Husky's" thread. That would be pretty sweet. Maybe not even a Ti thread, but more of a "weight savings" thread which could include Ti/Carbon/One-off parts to help save weight. Just a thought. See ya!

    I let the main forum grow and grow and grow. Then split things up as evenly as I could.

    The tech section is intended for all the Husqvarna tech discussions.
    • The common topics is for the things listed in the description - handlebars, etc.
    • The 2st is for the things not listed in the common topics description for 2st
    • The 4st is for the things not listed in the common topics description for 4st
    • The 610 is for the things not listed in the common topics description for 610

    If you want a thread for just Ti stuff on a TC it should probably go in the 4st. If you want to make it for 2st stuff too then it could be in the common topics area because it applies to more than one bike - but it would be easier to have 2 threads, one in each section.

    My concern is people finding the information in the future, and simply getting the Husqvarna tech threads in the tech section - away from all the other non-tech discussions is a huge first step. The search will still be needed. No matter how the forums are laid out there will be stuff that could fit multiple areas and awkward moments.

    The EFI/carb was intended as a repository for all EFI threads - cause that is a HUGE topic and that stuff is easily lost especially since the search function does not work for 3 character searched like "EFI". And it would be nice to have at least some popular jetting info for reference for both 2st & 4st so people that buy a Husqvarna bike from a dealer for the first time can get a clue. It is possible some dealers have Cafe Husky graphics to hand out to bike buyers. :thumbsup:

    If you want a guinea pig section what do you want to put in it - advanced or weird Husqvarna bike stuff? Non-traditional stuff the average person would never need or care about?

    How about a "High Tech" Forum? :)

    Was the weight of that Ti spring CONSIDERABLY lighter than the stock/standard steel spring? I know it's suppose to be, but I just curious as to your thoughts. Thanks!

    They can work either way to accommodate different adjustments. The goal is to keep the adjuster bolt in as far as you can and still get proper adjustment. That way it's as strong as it can be.

    I just stuck it in there for the picture to show how well it fit.

    I didn't weigh the two, but it felt a lot lighter.

    I weighed one for a SHOWA once compared to a Eibach and it was like 2 pounds, six ounces lighter.

    Does not seem to be a lot of people interested in a High Tech forum....and for each forum added there is the question 'what goes where'. I think by now everyone agrees that we should not go back to having just the main forum like we had on day 1, but I need to make CH as friendly and easy to use as possible.



    I'll move this re-named thread to the common topics forum. The important part to me is to get all the good Husky tech info in the tech area - people at some point will need to use the search function.

    Dont know about you guys but I heard they stopped using titanium shock and fork springs as they have had a few break.

    I heard that from a WEC KTM mechaninc.

    I'm not at all saying it can't happen to anyone, BUT the guys riding the WEC circuit I would guess are running in MUCH DIFFERENT conditions than the weekend woods rider or MX rider here in the States. Just a thought.
