I sealed up the igniton cover real good and no improvement,

Just seems odd that this popped up immeadiately after swapping the lectron on and off the bike and now its got the erractic idle. It has to be something im missing that i caused.

Okay if its supposed to be bone dry then that must be it.

Where do you order that crank seal at and ill pop that in instead of chasing my tail on this issue.

Well wait a second, some are vented covers, is yours? Is this on the YZ? That could let water in. Erratic idle is almost always a leak. Usually around the reed block.

This is on an 04 cr125. Sprayed arpund the reed block with carb cleaner and got no change in idle, around the base gasket, and around the carb boots. Nothing.

Have you tried spraying around the magneto with that cover off? should tell you if thats it.

So the bikes now running a lectron And its lean? Check for dirt in the lectron's fuel filter and make sure the needles in square could be something silly like wire to pull up the slide isnt home properly and is dragging on the body of the carb.
    Worth a look.

It wouldnt start with the cover off. Sealed it up real nice, reinstalled started right up.

It should start with the cover off. In fact, there should be no difference with or without the ignition side cover on or off. This tells me that your crank seal on the ignition side is leaking and needs to be replaced.

So the seal is bad because it should not need the cover to seal it.

Until you fix the leaking seal chasing running issues is fruitless.

Lol i was already on the phone before these posts today ordered that seal.

Its hard to convey everything via posts on a forum from my phone, i totally appreciate everyone helping diagnose it over the oast couple days. I literally never would have checked crank seals. Never had one go before.

Are you sure you still want to sell the Lectron carb. Since your crank seal was bad the Lectron never got a fair chance to show you how awesome they are. If you try the Lectron after you fix the seal my bet is that you will sell all your other carbs and keep the Lectron.

Yes that is very true doug! The lectron has performed nearly flawlessly up until this goofy issue which we have found is most likely the crank seal. I put it up for sale knowing it wasn't the lectron as it ran perfectly on the 250 and the 125 before this all happened.

I probably will keep it, not much action on it aanyways,

Try it a touch before you make another mistake and sell it, if your jetting was perfect then you probably wont see much gain but you wont have blubbing isdues with humidity changes and elevation differences.
Mark the stator plate before you take it off to get the exact position of timing when you put it back.

I have a fly wheel puller from a xr100 and a yz250 two stroke as well as like a dozen from various automotive applications such as pulleys, and such.

Hoping one of those suckers fits! Will find out soon.
