2010 Husqvarna "hard parts" exhaust

That's just plain ridiculous! Never had a problem getting them here in the UK (had a new one just a week or two back). The only reason for it to take a month is if they're either making them on demand (JIT/JNQIT/JNNIT/JDEA), or shipping them via China on a very slow boat! Surely there must be enough demand in the USA to make it worth keeping stock?

Ahhh, I wondered why it says "Powered by Arrow" on the side. I'd guess another reason for outsourcing is that it saves Husky on development costs, but I agree the aftermarket does tend to push things a bit further which is probably what most of us would prefer anyway. So I wonder who actually makes the ECU that comes with the Arrow exhausts (looks like it says Mikuni on the label) - and more importantly who developed the map...

Out here in Colorado we have essentially two Husky dealers. The one closest to me doesnt stock the bikes. He will order you one, but will not keep them on hand (KTMs sell much better for him).

The other dealer is a Ducati/BMW dealer- they had 5 bikes on hand, I bought one of them.

Every time I take my bike out I hear "Man, its been a long time since Ive seen a Husky..."

It took 5 weeks for me to get a gas cap for my '05 TE450 from the biggest Husky dealer in the USA. You have to love the marque and enjoy being different here or its just not worth the headache to have a Husky.

Want to get me a 12T front sprocket and send it to me I can paypal you!

I feel your pain! Not really with the Husky but I've had similar experiences with previous bikes and it's so frustrating (I think some of them had Sales Prevention Officers - "What do you mean, you want to BUY something?"). I did have to wait a while for a new countershaft on the Husky when the splines wore out, but I gather that's pretty rare so I'm not surprised they didn't have one in stock. Luckily I live about 30 minutes from Husky Sport who are 100% Husky so I could hardly be better placed for spares/sales/advice/free coffee (don't know how many Huskys they have in the showroom but it's a lot!). We don't see too many Huskys on the trails here in the UK but it's gradually improving.

If you really can't get a sprocket in the States, why not go straight to Dave at Husky Sport (one of CH's sponsors of course) - I know they've shipped all sorts of things over to the States for CH members so I expect they'd be happy to send you a sprocket (no idea what the shipping would cost though). You could send a PM (member name "Husky Sport") or go through their web site. Of course, knowing your luck they'll probably just have run out of stock! Good luck with it whatever you do - hope you get it sorted out ASAP.

I have a slipon from Husqvarna (titan leovince) specialparts installed on my testbike TE250 2010. Works fantastic, more power everywere. O course i have changed ECU.
One of my customers did by this slipon and is very impressed.

I also have frontsprocket in stock, no problem with spareparts in Sweden. Importer have them in stock.

Like I have said in other threads I can vouch 100% that both HGS and Devil DO noticeably increase BHP...Fact!! Out of the two the HGS gives the most. I think that the original exhaust that came with the bike is far too restrictive and chokes the power. Particularly the top end. All the magazine reviews also said this and rightfully so Husky has taken note of this. No doubt they gave Arrow a load of sxxx and told them to make a better version which is what some folks are even getting for free!! This really should have been on the bike in the beginning!!
So how does this compare to other aftermarket systems like Devil, Jardine & HGS?? Only time will tell. The HGS is GOOD, I would be surprised if it can beat it, the others, well maybe more online with those. Bottom line, time will tell but at the moment I am more than happy with HGS!!!

petem I don't think you have to worry with Huskysport. Every time I have had dealings with them they are very straight forward and honest. I spoke to them about getting one and they did offer to ship one to me. I have made the commitment here so I am going to give it a little longer. It just gets annoying to figure out a issue with a bike without any support, know what it will take to fix it and then be told 2-3 weeks again, again, again. In fairness I think Husky USA is ordering the parts now, it is just getting the factory to ship it. I have made that point I believe. I would not be sticking around if I did not feel that the bike is going to be worth it.

I am pretty sure they source sprockets from supersproxx, at least that was what was on my 08 TXC so for 08 they did. Check the etching (on the rear makes sense that if they sourced rear from supersproxx prolly front is the same.

That is a good idea to check with supersproxx. Just so people know the '10 250's have a completely different front sprocket than any other bike.

The OE silencer on my TXC (may not be the same as a TC) is an Arrow unit with a snap ring SA. If you remove the SA you can pass an inspection camera all the way to the exhaust valve(s). Its a very simple perforated core/batting silencer with no mechanical muffler inside. The diameter of the cavity is approx 50 mm. It must be a very special muffler to make big power gains over what is essentially the most open design already.

Any one have dyno proof of these systems? The seat of the pants doesnt work for me. Lots of folks have said taking out the SA makes the bike a monster- but the dyno shows there is no gain, only noise.

Leo Vince's Italian web site did have a dyno run of the 2009 TC 250 that was not brought here in the U.S. The 2010 TC is not the same as the TXC and actually has a smaller opening and is titanium. There is a science going in to making a pipe and increasing power. I have thought the same thing though as the TXC/TE is a more open system with the SA out than the MX model TC.

Why not order some from motosportz, they have sprockets in stock and they are a cafe husky sponsor to boot. Oh, they ship priority most of the time as well.

Ok, I think the Arrow systems are pretty hard to beat for us weekend warriors. Louder exhaust with youngsters makes the wrist twist more, which makes it seem faster. Same as putting headers on my old Nova in high school. It got WAY faster and more tickets after I could hear the exhaust!

I am after the matching ECU for the Leo Vince exhaust. I do like the bling of less weight though.

And so it was! Just checked today and it's arrived as promised. All being well they should be fitting it while repairing/servicing the bike tomorrow (Thursday) - can't wait!

My opinion of the exhaust/ecu will be coming to a forum near you as soon as I get to ride it.

Yes, yesterday on the TE250 2010. The new ECU that comes with the leovinci gives more rpms and afew more ponies!

I phoned to check how things were going today and ended up listening to the bike running with the new exhaust over the phone to see what it sounded like! I think I need to get out more (like maybe tomorrow when I collect the bike ).

Yep, just got word my Leo Silencer and ECU is in at my dealer now. Our parts must have shared the same boat.

snoplw any idea on how much it will cost? Also any idea from the dealer as to when they will have the exhaust in ready for sale? Thanks, John
