This starter is so small and sounds completely different than other bikes. Hope it is not that it needs shimmed.

That red lower right positive wire needed to be loosened and moved outward to make more room for air filter removal. Not a big deal.

    It won't fit, I tried.

    Saaaaweeet! :notworthy:

What's the red and yellow LED's for behind the front number plate?

If my TC is any indication, I doubt your fan will ever come on. The TC (no fan) has yet to belch any coolant even after prolonged idling. Even after I've intentionally let it idle for 10 minutes to see if it would belch coolant.

According to an earlier post by Norman, he knew of another TXC buyer who got the open filter cage in the box. Sounds like Husky screwed up on that.

Interesting also that the TXC's are getting a Magura clutch while the TC's are Brembo. And you get a remote hot start lever... I want one on my TC!

Dude, you're not a man until we get a ride report ASAP! ;)

Looks like all the steering tube welds are almost flush with the top edge! The TC is like that. May mean some new engineering required for dampers! Damn.

I will more than likely be putting the WER on there as well. Norm, then I would have a blue alien hand. I just spent all my money on a Husky, once this box of gloves is gone it will be bare hands for a while..lol.

No prob man, but I still think Husky screwed up, because the manual clearly shows that the TC and TXC should come with the same cage. Interesting that Tim's came with the "asthma plug".

My dealer started up a 2010 TC250 and that sucker was loud. Fine for MX but hopefully your TC and the TE are quieter.

Hopefully you can remove the catalytic converter, install the right filter cage and give the bike a whirl very soon. We are all curious as to what the power will be like.

Everyone wants a ride report, I guess I should leave that to Kelly. I will give a short report on how my day went with this new bike.

I think the bike is going to be really good. Luckily Ridersville had the O2 bypass in stock, still need the plug for the exhaust though. With the emission stuff removed the bike had a fit. Very weak, no power. I was not even going to put my gear on bad. Once I put the jumper in and got to the race map, that is what I was looking for.

The bike transformed into the quick revving engine like the TC. It now needs to be adjusted with Ibeat to show its full potential. It was ridable but I had bog down low that surely is a cause of it being too lean. I will say again that this bike is very quick revving and when it was in the right part of the power delivery had a very good feeling to it. It kind of has a two stroke feel of how quick you can spin the motor. It showed great promise once it breaks in and gets tuned correctly.

I ran it without the Spark Arrestor on the first loop and it is a little too loud. I ended up putting it back in to see if that would help out the bog I had and then the sound is a pretty good loud. It actually sounds mean. First gear is kind of tall. After riding a while I did not have a problem with it but letting the clutch out for the first time surprised me. I normally ride pretty tight stuff and think it will be fine.

Transmission seems to have good gear spacing and very nice shifting. The bike really did not seem to stall easy and don't think I ever did all day. I did try kicking it today as well and it kicked super easy. Just push through until you feel it hit top dead center, go one bump over and a light push through with your foot and it was running. The electric start also is very fast at getting it to fire.

I really need to get the suspension set up before I can tell how the bike handles. I see no reason for it to be different than all the other Huskies I have ridden that will carve the woods. Today though the suspension was off for my weight. The shock spring is too soft for me (200lbs.) and the front forks needed some pre-load as I think I was too far down causing some harshness. I am sure once that is dialed in the bike will be excellent. The shock felt even better this year for some reason. The forks felt promising as well like once set up I could charge and hit stuff without bottoming. I was actually surprised that they had 1 1/2 inches of static sag in them but I think the rear shock spring was throwing the bike off as far as the cornering.

I left very happy as I know what the bike needs and I think I can easily hit all the marks with it. The biggest concern I had was with what the engine would be like but I could see once the FI is set up I am going to have a lot of fun with this bike. By the way there is no cold start knob on the FI this year.

Nice!!! Sounds awesome, congrats Tim :) Glad to hear it'll be a runner once the EFI is set, and not a dog like we've been hearing.

    Interesting! No cold knob!

I was goofing around with the enter key sort of making some paragraphs, so I left it in case it helps others that 'don't read so good'.

It sounds like the low end is similar to Conde's bike. He is waiting for new EFI mapping and I am sure that will solve the power issue.

The first time I rode the bike with the O2 wire hooked up I was knowing what Conde was talking about. Then with the jumper in it was a different animal. It does feel light even with the suspension so far off. I can't wait until I get the correct springs in it to get it balanced.

Nice report. Sounds heavy based on the TE which is a little disappointing as the 08-09 were out of the box racers. All the street stuff surprises me, T-stop, air cage, EFI map, EPA stuff, fan etc. Wonder why they went this route? Goo dinfo keep it up. Don;t wait for me to report, we need info!!! My bike might be here but it will be a little bit before i try it out as i need to sell the 610. Not sure when i will get to it, soon though. As for the rear suspension feeling different / better it is a totally different geometry than in the past. My 09 WR125 felt great stock and amazing revalved.

I will have a damper setup soon.

My guess - they need to meet an air quality mandate somewhere like California 'green sticker' program or Europe, or perhaps if they make the TE & TXC similar it could cut production costs and reduce needed inventory of sub-assemblies.

You know I thought that too at first about the TXC being a TE without lights and closed cartridge forks. After riding it though I think it is just the new motor is more racier than years past and resembles the TC more. I have not seen/ridden a 2010 TE 250 yet to be sure. It is not that big of a deal with the parts I removed, it's just making sure Husky corrects this oversight.
