All I will say is rubbin is racin and much of Atlanta SX in numerous "Altercations" was the results of lapped riders not moving over when given the blue flag. Not just that moto either. in all 6 motos (yep I am includinhg the LCQ's also)

The js move to the front was a great example rubbing ... 3 riders entered 1 sweeper at almost the same time, using 3 different lines ... all 3 exited on 2 wheels. 2 bikes meeting at almost a ~90 degree angle to each other is not gonna be a rub ... its much closer to a T-bone ...

Stewart T boned Reed but then again Reed put his bike there. Stewart could have backed off. Reed could have cut it tighter. Neither happened and thats why it is called racing. BTW Not a reed nor stewart fan so not biased at all here.

I'm no fan either but cr put that bike there to stop js in desperation after the pass of passes ... it cost him at least 1 finishing place and moved RV out further as a result ... Lets just hope that type of 'racing' does not start on lap 2 of all races and we get riders taken out of contention ...

Yes, I agree. Look at Reed's position. Its pretty clear what he was trying to do. Me, If supercross turns into last man standing cross, Well not my cup of tea.
sure would sell lots of tickets though. I would be a little concerned about pee wee cross turning into 10 year olds taking each other out, because thats what
    their hero's do. [IMG]

MX mom and dad: "Now Johnny, you let little Billy get by in that last moto, next moto t-bone him and run over him", " you know, just like your hero
Chad Reed does, remember when you took out little Kathy last month, sure she broke her arm, but she doesnt pass you any more, does she?"
    Its all about winning.[IMG]

All things in life, need good and bad so I hope Stewart wants to play the good guy, Like I said this is going to be really interesting to see how it unfolds
this year. Did anyone see Jame's Dad at the end of the race, looked like he was yelling at Jame's to shut up and go to the pits. I think if they asked me
how I would deal with it, I would tell Stewart to reach over as you pick up your bike and shut reeds motor off....I mean the stop button was right there.[IMG]

Just watched the vid attached in the OP. Looked to me like very hard and aggressive racing. Yeah, Reed was a little too bold with his move but Stewart could have slowed up a little and tried a teeny tiny bit to avoid plowing straight in to Reed. Adrenaline is pumping, lots on the line for both of them and they have lots of history. Not too surprising that tangled and went down.

On the Dave Despain show, he had interviewed JS7 and also showed the slow motion clip on the pass he made on CR22. They never touched! He told Despain that he wasn't going to retaliate because that's not how I race. Good stuff for sure.

none of us are qualified to make judgements on racing conduct at that level of racing. Comments, our opinions of course we are going to say things as fans, but no one here has an idea of the level and the pressures that come at that level of racing, from sponsors, fans, $$$$$ and of course what makes those guys tick and excel at that level.
Think about how slow some of the back markers are compared to the top 5,,,,,then think how good anyone is that even qualifies for a SX main.
The self imposed pressures are at an unfathomable level up there. That said, the show we saw was amazing/crazy/maybe even stupid at times,,,,,but what a show and that's what SX is, a big $ moto circus in the stadium. Can't wait for the next one, hope are the big dogs continue to be in the circus, its a great season. (and dont forget the lites too!!)

As youve said its racing - Chad jumped the last jump better and was able to catch up on the corner maybe a slight error of judgement but Ive seen worse
    its good for racing
Come on Chad - go you good thing ! who said he was passed it ?

Well some folks like the wwe style Xcross and some don't, as far as judging and being qualified??? because we don't race means we can't see poor sportsmanship????
what Reed did wasn't stupid, it was intentional wrong, If that's how Reed needs to win, oh well. I would rather see good clean racing, not the roller ball mentality of
some of the riders, If Reed and others that ride that way, somehow get kicked out, by racing the way they do, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

I have no power over the sport, I can say anything I want about it, as can anyone else. One of the benefits of being a little older is the fact we have lots of life experience
and can see right and wrong a little clearer, I guess. All that time, all that pressure, you're talking about the riders go through, doesn't mean a thing if there's a few knot heads in the sport
that will take you out, and get away with it. This isn't a video game, its real. Demolition motocross isn't my cup of tea, but hey some get a thrill out of it. Last man standing cross
the future.....Reeds a punk, he wasn't man enough to beat Stewart on just his skill, That's my judgment, case closed.. [IMG]

If both Reed & Stewart had gotten hurt because of the incident, would there have been any punishment....I say this because rule 2.11C states that a rider will not put another rider, crew member or staff in danger of losing life or limb.
Road Racing rules are a lot different in the case of where you are coming into & coming out of a turn, for a second there I though that SuperX was the same.

I don't like Reed or Stewart
    Lets go R.V. & Dungy

Bubba did what Bubba does. Instead of being aware of what is going on and reacting by braking and cutting back down under Reer he wicked the throttle WFO and ran into him. Bubba has taken him self out many times in this same way.Would this have happened to RC? No! He would have expected something like this on the last lap and avoided it.

BTW - I was in the industry seating with most of this happening right in front of me.
